Germany may switch back to typewriters

Student

i just heard that in the radio,...

The germans are switching back. Because the NSA will not be able to hack a mechanic typewriter,...

acording to these articles:

http://www.n-tv.de/wirtschaft/Schreibmaschinen-gefragt-wie-selten-article13241866.html

Triumph-Adler has douled the demand on their typewirters. They are estimating selling 10000 Typewirters this Year. They haven't sold that many since 20 years.

can we not just isolate it from the internet? isn't that an option?

..seems like the logical thing to do

no because USB flash exists, information can be copied taken elsewhere and leaked.

I'm sorry, people in Germany, but I have to say this.

Your government is the fucking stupidest thing I have seen in my entire life.

Generalizing much?? US government also makes stupid shit as well... Probably much more stupid than any policy introduced by the German government since the Berlin fell... And I'm not even German, nor do I like Angela F'ing Merkel...

Well... At least props for German government actually taking internet privacy seriously.

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

I didn't think I had to say that the government where I live is totally screwed.

Aww, thanks. Obama takes that as a compliment. xD

Don't let Obama hear that. He'll send troops over there like he did when he heard of Al Qaeda being back. <_<

Retrofit printers to work on serial ports, lol.

this is literally easier than sending the office back to 1950

if you managed to get an NSA agent into Germany's offices to infiltrate and connect their LAN network to the internet, then we have a far larger fundamental issue than Americans snooping.

There are US troops deployed to Germany since WW2.

And stop your notorious picking on Obama. The whole thing started not later than 2007.

Picking on the presidents is fun. ;)

But honestly, I think that he's really tried to get this country out of the shithole it was in from Bush. I just wish he could do something about the trillions of dollars in debt we have. :(

Isn't text printed on paper subject to similar security concerns?
