Lol nice troll

Everyone with a brain knows that the i5's cores are MUCH more powerful than a 83xx. The gaming performance does not depends on the amount of cores, but the processing strength of the cores because most games use 4 cores or less. Plus the 83xx's cores are actually 'half cores' because they share their resources much like hyperthreading. You can clearly see from any benchmark that the 4670k beats the 83xx from AMD.

This seems like a rather bias opinion towards AMD CPUs.

I completely agree, and I'm a total AMD fanboy. Still going with Intel for CPU's though.

Hyperthreading is invalid, a gimmick, and weak....Hell, the Athlon 750k can hold it's own against the 4670k.

For starters, hyperthreading is actually not that bad. This pentium 4 HT i'm using now is far and away better than my old sempron in terms of multitasking. I could see it's use in games as a boost for dinky single cores.

as for the athlon comment, while you are correct to a certain point, if you're going with a crazy high end GPU like the GTX 780, or even better, SLI, then there's no contest. To wit:

Invalid. Gaming is based off of clock speed, logical cores, and GPU power, also AMD is theoretically better with video editing and production.. Check opteron vs xeon debates. There is no ripping here.

The 8350 is literally close to the same price and most builds involving it cost less, it is an idiotic idea and you'd be better off with an AMD A10. Hell, the Athlon 750k can hold it's own against the 4670k.

wat? it seems you're all about the letter and not about the number, look at all benchmarks and real world test and most gaming and production based test have the 8350 coming under.

The 8350 is pitiful in performance given it's eight cores. Something with 4 can catch up and surpass it in performance in every task. Intel has better single core performance and sometimes even better multicore performance given the application, games included. AMD is a joke with their CPUs for the past decade.

The 8350 is equal to the 4770k. Deal with the PS, and PL. It's illogical to say otherwise, I guess the 8350 is pitiful? You asserted it's 8 cores were a gimmick, yet you say it's weak due to such. They hold much higher ability via the bundles and the packages and the core difference. Learn stickers and architecture.

Fanboy..

Wrong.

What a great debate! I'm glad you asked us to provide information, and to support our own argument, in this mature conversation, to respond with "Wrong."

You seem to have forgotten the entirety of the "Why" section in your whole argument. Also, the 750k holds its own against the 4670k? Not to fanboy, but I think facts are facts these days.

Come on, man. If you're going to talk out of your ass, at least make it stink.

I'm fairly non-biased myself. I have two rigs with AMD cpu's in them. I have an Intel in my MAIN rig for a reason; I actually do demanding things. An 8350 would not hold as well as my 4770k does in rendering, editing, multi-tasking, and even gaming, since I play a lot of CPU-intensive games, and hell, it would probably even have trouble with my live-streaming and music production being as I'm on three monitors when I'm doing it.

I really wish that we'd just make organic hardware already, that grows and adapts to the demands it needs to meet. That way, grannies' computers can be floppy sacks of organicness and the 12 year old Minecrafters will look like the guys that only do bicep curls, and the nerdy programmers will finally have justice, with their body-builder rigs that skipped leg day.

Ad Hominem. You need something better than that to commodate your argument.

Really? Explain how it was bias.. I merely stated feats backed by evidence.

But you didn't actually cite any evidence either. You say it's backed by evidence but didn't cite anything. Can you please? Or is this more like a new religion when you get to say anything you want and tell us that you're right until we disprove you?

Lol.

I completely agree, and I'm a total AMD fanboy. Still going with Intel for CPU's though.

You aren't a TRUE amd fanboy until you get the logic, ps, pl, and basic reading - the sticker specs, even the architecture. You know nothing.

To wit:

Hyperthreading is a gimmick. Threads =/= cores. You benefit more from core performance than your gimmicky "hyper-threading". Learn more about the architectural build of processors and about AMD's physical cores and value. The Athlon 750k is enough to handle the 4670k, the 760k indisputably stomps it via logic, ps, pl, and sticker specs. Benchmark that.

XcNQytr.jpg

Could say the same for you.

Good thing we can disprove the OP with benchmarks!

OP can...

CXRwXA1.gif

(@TheSLSAMG)

Value, LOGIC, PS, AND PL declare your argument and "status" invalid. Take a look at the cores and the gaming differences, along with the smooth performances. Intel is bad, you just can't see it.
