Rant - People Still Using the i5-4670k in 2014

I see it all the time.. the most common argument is that "it is the 4770k without hyperthreading hurr" no. The 4770k is just about equal to the 8350, so this isn't a comparison. The idea of "hyperthreading" and virtual "cores/threads" is Intel's biggest gimmick, and without it their cores are weak and slower. The 4670k is the same price as the 8350 and it has no "gimmick" over it at all and people still use it, and it is arguably the weakest in the haswell lining. What is the reasoning..?

This seems like a rather bias opinion towards AMD CPUs.

Ad Hominem. You need something better than that to commodate your argument.

This seems like a rather bias opinion towards AMD CPUs.

Really? Explain how it was bias.. I merely stated feats backed by evidence.

any 4th gen above, i5 and i7 will rip a 8350 in gaming, 8350 will only out perform them in multi tasking and the i5 in possible video editing and production.

maybe not rip, but will out perform

One that uses logic and reasoning..?

4670k is about equal or better to the 8350 in performance and that's a stretch.

Talk about stretch. The 4770k even being on par with the 8350 is a stretch via value and physical core logic.

Invalid. Gaming is based off of clock speed, logical cores, and GPU power, also AMD is theoretically better with video editing and production.. Check opteron vs xeon debates. There is no ripping here.

The 8350 is literally close to the same price and most builds involving it cost less, it is an idiotic idea and you'd be better off with an AMD A10. Hell, the Athlon 750k can hold it's own against the 4670k.

AMD has bundles of 4 baskets with 2 cores in each one, all physical. Typical argument of an intel fanboy. Hyperthreading is invalid, a gimmick, and weak.

I really wish that we'd just make organic hardware already, that grows and adapts to the demands it needs to meet. That way, grannies' computers can be floppy sacks of organicness and the 12 year old Minecrafters will look like the guys that only do bicep curls, and the nerdy programmers will finally have justice, with their body-builder rigs that skipped leg day.

The 8350 is pitiful in performance given it's eight cores. Something with 4 can catch up and surpass it in performance in every task. Intel has better single core performance and sometimes even better multicore performance given the application, games included. AMD is a joke with their CPUs for the past decade.
