TotalBiscuit has cancer. (not really tech news)

WhatTheQuack

A few weeks ago, TotalBiscuit released a video explaining a medical issue with his bowel, which involved the discovery of a 2cm diameter mass. At the time it was believed that it was not cancerous, but unfortunately he made an announcement today on twitter...

bed51ea2da16df6c315e3b60db143b19.png

This is sad news from such a strong individual and fantastic YouTuber, but luckily he says that it is easily treatable, as shown in the above tweet. I'm sure that he will get through this no problem, and he is lucky that it is treatable after such a long time without getting it checked. I wish him all the best with his treatment.

This shows the importance of seeking medical attention in situations like this, no matter where the mass is physically located. TotalBiscuit said that he kept putting it of because he was essentially too embarrassed to get help. This is a valuable lesson that could potentially save lives.

Please, If you have any concerns, get yourself checked.

I just got into watching his videos, I hope he gets well.

Old.

It was less than an hour ago. All that was confirmed before was a growth.

At least it's treatable wil pill-chemo and surgery, that is quite a bit better than IV chemo.

Unfortunately it's cancer, if it's been there for any time it will be in other places.

Old.

That comes across as harsh. Cancer for anyone is never old news, it is horrible.

Also he didn't know it WAS cancer or if it was treatable or not. This only just came out on twitter.

Anyway

All my love and thoughts go out to TB, GET WELL!

Everyone  who supports him send him a nice tweet :)

No it's pretty early on. The cancer was small enough to be totally obscured at first by a benign growth, which is why he's on pill-chemo and not the much harsher full IV-chemo or radiotherapy. He'll be miserable for a while but chances are quite good.

Well there is still AngryJoe and a few other youtubers that will criticizes games if they suck. However none of them do it as well as TB. Wish he gets through this alive.

No worries, he's British. It's not like he's in the US and has to pay tens of thousands of dollars to treat it. Plus they caught it early.

He lives in North Carolina with his American wife and stepson.

Old.

regardless even if it is old (it's not) it still raises awareness, someone reading this thread may get checked and find something before it spreads.

Even if money was an issue for him I thought this is what Obamacare was supposed to solve. I'm 99% sure he has good insurance too so his copay will probably be $25
