Honestly...not that much money for what you're getting. $300 is an awesome price for what is essentially the best smart watch to date.

I know but the site said some french company had it at $340 US (approx.) so im just stating the worst case scenario

Ive spent more on watches that have done less. If they end up looking like the pictures and the specs are real world, I think i might have another to add to the collection.

Honestly I'd still buy it at $340. The Moto 360 is looking to be the best smartwatch on the market IMHO.

that is fairly cheap in the watch busniss. i have a pebble steel and its cheaper than a watch with simmiler material. inculding 2 bands.

I think smart-watches ruin the name of watchmakers like Rolex and Omega. The watches that are made by watchmakers are on a whole other level of quality and precision compared to Apple and any other smart-phone company.

The gear for and gear 2/neo ate really cool but are gimmicky. The moto 360 seeks to be a true companion with quick glance information always at your fingertips and Google now leasing the way. Samsung's approach is different, it's cool and flashy but lacks added functionality. But alas this is just pure speculation on my part regarding the moto 360.

I have used the galaxy gear, the great fit, the great 2 and the neo for a short period of time. They're cool but not quite there yet.

I would happily spend £500-£1000 on a good smart watch that has very good quality, I wear £500 watches daily so having a smart one with excellent quality and less compromise would be awesome

I'd like a look at all the things you can really do with it before I can say it's a good/bad price. I'm interested in the concept, but I'd like more than just a second, smaller screen for my phone.

 

edit: everyone keeps saying things like "well there's regular watches that already go for more than that" and although you're right, i feel it's a completely different market. It's like opening a fast food restaurant with $50 burgers and saying " well there's 5 star restaurants that already charge more. Look at the first videos of the Android Wear and the watch itself. That's not the 5% richest people wearing that. They're going for a casual mid 20s market.
