The Amazon Basics CPU Cooler

HC_writes

If you need something quickly and at an affordable price, there’s a good chance that Amazons in-house “Basics” brand has it. They’ve got all the essential items you need in your day-to-day life… and now they have a CPU cooler? Uh oh. Time for Labs to investigate.

The direct competition would perhaps be Thermalright Assassin King 120 SE for $20.90

But in any case the "Amazon Basics" is basic to say the least.

I edit my posts more often than not

Many of the comparable coolers are missing. But it will prob not change the conclusion of the video but prob help the viewers to decide which one to buy.

they compared plenty.  How many would you have considered to be "enough"?

I got the H412R a while ago when it was on Amazon for 17£, at that price it's a really good cooler. I'm using it with my ryzen 5 5600 and it has been reliable.

Based on pictures, price and description (COOLER MASTER TECHNOLOGIES!  what you mean their fan?) there are far superior options for quite a bit less on Amazon, and Newegg readily available.

Or pay like $10 and get this same unit from aliexpress lol just have to wait a month

I mean, Linus did point out that a 20$ cooler was easier to mount and wrecked it for performance, so....  IDK what else you'd want them to say lol

For anyone interested about this, GamersNexus did a more technical review a few days ago

Basically an already existing cooler but with less machining time to polish the base, less frills, more profitable for amazon...

I do not have one and after this video with how QC is I will not buy one for now but knowing Amazon Basics they will get better.

Who cares when a cooler that is 25% (or more) cheaper beat it soundly in all regards?

GamersNexus also managed to get the correct original version for this, whereas LTT said it was based on the wrong version, and then talked about differences in looks and performance. Shame, as the LTT video was pretty good other than that glaring mistake.

So they didn't include one cooler you wanted to see.

I fail to see how this invalidates anything whatsoever.

If the press fit aluminium was the same, we could have joked about amazon buying up the scraps that did not fit coolermaster's their quality standards
