i watched long time any linus video(very long time ago)i dont rember any more video name.

but i rember one video where linus was stashing some stuff into attic what is not going to used probaly never anymore.

i rember some older built computers being in there and collecting dust.

i think computer had 680 gpus.

what i am saying just give them away or sell them,instead just letting them collect dust in attic.

or other thing upgrade theys computers with new modem gpus,what dont bottleneck cpus.

and dontate them for families who are to poor and soon are already xmas are coming.so why not do something nice?

There's a reason they collect dust. Usually they're so shit they aren't worth using, but have sentimental value, so people hold onto them. Most of my hardware is like that, I don't give it away to people because it sucks and only weird folks like myself with both my preferences and capabilities/knowledge will actually be able to make use of it (the old HEDT I collect sucks ass unless you can manually OC it to be usable for anything remotely recent). I already gave away all the easily usable stuff that I wasn't using myself.

stuff that's in linus's attic might be somewhat sentimental to him personally, i'd assume that otherwise he'd dump the old stuff at the office for logistics to take care of.

 

beyond that... with this old hardware it is often more expensive to 'do something with it' (organise a giveaway, prepare it for giving to a less fortunate relative, etc.) than the value the hardware still has.

it was the video when he stopped using a pc and went to a server pc. but no that is his stuff and a reason to hold on maybe even for his kids. maybe some just be sold or given away.

 

also he dose not need the moeny nore need the space it takes up so...

It's either that or a case of volunteering someone else's stuff for donation like they have a right to... Which they don't.

From the feel of things after reading, I can figure out what "Charity" these pieces would be suggested to go to.

I have a box of old electronics because of sentimental value of "I bought this during X period of my life".

 

What people have in their homes & providing it isn't causing harm to others is no one else's business. Your post comes off as almost a need to control someone else's behavior's and property.
