Linus owns LMG so he is the one who gets to choose which projects live and which ones die. Let's just say building a Trump PC likely wouldn't hold up very well for at least half of the viewers, likely more because while yes most of his viewers are in the USA there are still tens of thousands (if not hundreds/ 1-2 million) outside of the USA who watch LMG. Simply put building a Trump PC is likely bad for business, this video was a mistake at least based on the like/dislike ratio as I'm typing this.

 

I've not seen the wan show, but I recall watching a video with Linus MKBHD and others talking about going to the polls to vote for last years elections which should paint a picture the neutral media looks at him.

so yeah he reacted and don't know how to deal with it or much of a clue about PC hardware. if RAM was SSD, you can just download more from OUR social internet for FREE and get access to our open cloud servers!

This was such a hilarious video hands down!

 

I must say though, on the TV behind Linus with the Soviet banner waving in the air, you know that copy of Windows makes it our OS, as anyone can download Windows and not have to activate it.

I'm sure it was because AMD were fine with their products on it and NVidia weren't, but why use an AMD gpu for a streaming PC? I love AMD and all, but NVENC is truly amazing for streaming compared to AMD

Come on! Low hanging fruits. AMD is "team RED". Linus says it several times throughout the video that this will be the "all RED" computer build.

I guess at the end of the day it's super easy for Hasan to change out if he cares about NVENC

he already has a 2080ti that he thinks about using as the recording PC. (believe it was that card).

Although the AMD CPUs have some nice streaming features too, which LTT have covered at the start of RYZEN but little talked about and not sure about how it is now. Its not the same as on the GPU, but it has some other stuff to it that was really fun to see at the time.

Sure hope they locked that 10gb ethernet down to 2.5gb to make it "fair" with the other one..

 

should have also hot glued all the USB ports except one so you have to use a usb hub and share all the bandwidth of one.

Sick build. I wish they put some rubber under the leaning side so that it doesn't scuff up whatever he puts it on.
I am wondering if there will be a reaction to his reaction.
Hasan also said he wants to stream setting up the pc and have Linus guide him on a discord call. (1h27m49s in case the embed is scuffed)

I really like this video and in particular all the "left/leftist/socialist" puns. There a few things that could have been added though
 

  • configure the RAM as single channel (share ressources)
  • make fans share the same header so that the connector's power draw is red-lining.
  • create an ambitious 5 year upgrade plan
  • install a firewall that is renamed "iron curtain"
  • disable updates
  • disable QoS for all network connections (no priority for any traffic)

I think a Ben Shapiro PC would go too far. I see it this way, Trump is a meme and you can laugh at him without supporting him. Ben Shapiro on the other hand is more specific and I just think that you have to somewhat support him to build a pc around him.

 

Look at this Trump cup for example:
