When will the 3080 be back in stock

SquiddyButler

I have everything I need for my pc build except the gpu, and it's out of stock everywhere. So does anyone know when the 3080( or any gpu) will be back in stock?

Probably later today, but not for very long, there are frequently "mini drops" on newegg

If you mean "real" in stock in that you have time to easily buy it, who knows.

Current System: Ryzen 7 3700X, Noctua NH L12 Ghost S1 Edition, 32GB DDR4 @ 3200MHz, MAG B550i Gaming Edge, 1TB WD SN550 NVME, SF750, RTX 3080 Founders Edition, Louqe Ghost S1

February 29th of course!

I don't expect to see RTX 3080 videocards in stock any time soon, if at all. What I mean is that most of the different AIB versions will probably have a queue of people waiting for it.

The only chance to get one of those cards is probably by hopping into a queue, getting lucky with a drop on a website or paying an absurd amount of money to a scalper.

Let me just grab my crystal ball out and rub it and see what it tells me!!!

All jokes aside, use a bot that is available that will tell you when they come in stock across different websites or constantly check back. Also, if you're looking for EVGA cards, use their queue feature from EVGA's webstore so that they can hold a card for you and let you know they will keep it reserved for you for the next couple of hours (8 or 12 hours I believe).

Do you live close to a microcenter? If so ping me on the side and I can show you how to get one pretty easily.

Find a retailer with a waiting list (either online or in-store) and get in line, as long as you don't need to pre-pay. This is your "safety plan" in case you're not able to purchase directly, so try to get yourself waitlisted only if the price is low to reasonable. Some stores may increase the price by the time the list gets to you, however.

To buy online, you'll need a little bit of preparation. If you're not able to sit at a computer for hours during normal working times, this step may be very difficult.

  1. Save your credit card/payment information on all retailer sites you plan on using. Also have the information at the ready (either have it written down or have the card present) in case the site prompts you for it despite having it saved already - this happened to me on Newegg, but I was prepared.
  2. First, bookmark the product pages of the GPUs you're interested in, and organize them in such a way that you can quickly access them at a moment's notice.
  3. Second, join a stock-watcher stream and listen for in-stock notifications. Keep in mind there will be hundreds or thousands of other people waiting along with you, that's why you need to be able to quickly access the pages you bookmarked
  4. Determine a range of prices that you are willing to pay. These stock-watching streams will only tell you what product is in stock and where, it's up to you to make a quick decision on whether or not the price is acceptable so you can either rush to check out or ignore.

I don't recommend paying a scalper.

Some may argue the ethics of this method but you could use a bot that auto buys gpus to get your hands on one. As long as you aren't buying them at msrp and selling them for double or buying more than you need then I don't see issue with it.

I think I have the link to a git hub bot saved somewhere I'll edit it in afterwards.

https://github.com/Hari-Nagarajan/fairgame I havent used it myself but it should work.

me neither, which is why I mentioned "absurd amount of money" in my post, but I still mentioned it for the sake of completeness.

depending on the prices you are looking for, if you are looking for 1 around 800usd, probably never, it's tightly pegged to eth atm. Everything remotely close to MSRP will be bought up. As many as nvidia can ship. There's some hope for the 3090 and 6900xt after march.

It depends where you live and which card you are looking to get. I managed to get an EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra last week. I went to the store to back order it on the Wednesday and received an email to pick it up on the Friday.

I ordered from a Canada Computers and they said that was the card that comes in the most basically.

Tho I don't understand why you guys were waiting so long, right after Christmas (weirdly) there were tons, and not that expensive!  now 3070 's go for that price...

well, crystal ball says in 6-12 months (by then they will be' outdated' due to the 3080 ti of course but yeah... this does not look good...)

just 2 weeks ago I could even choose between several 3080/ 3070's.... I really don't think that'll happen again anytime soon tbh
