This brings me onto another point - there are many things to dislike HP for, but among PC laptop manufacturers, they do seem to be the only people these days who can build laptops with a decent quality and feel to the keyboard. I'd take my HP laptop keyboard over the 'proper' keyboards that come for free with Dell and Acer all-in-one systems any day.

I've tried various others' keyboards - including Asus, Lenovo, that stock one that all the Chromebooks seem to have, Acer and so on - the only ones I've actually liked typing on have been HP. Apple ones used to be decent. But for Dell... don't even get me started!!!

I haven't tried any of the dedicated "GAMING" brands; maybe they have better keyboards (though they probably aren't optimised for typing at speed...)

IMO Dell and Lenovos business keyboards are pretty good

Main PC: Ryzen 1600 @4GHz, 16GB 2933 MHz DDR4, 1060 6GB blower card.

I've not used Lenovo's business oriented stuff, but I can't stand the Dell ones. It feels like there's a small piece of sponge caught between the keycap and the keyboard. Presumably they're dampened somehow to make them quiet, but it has the side effect of making them irritating to type with.

Thanks for reading all this by the way!

By the way, my desktop is a docked laptop. Get over it, No seriously, I have an exterrnal monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, ethernet and cooling fans all connected. Using it feels no different to a desktop, it works for several hours if the power goes out, and disconnecting just a few cables gives me something I can take on the go. There's enough power for all games I play and it even copes with basic (and some not-so-basic) video editing. Give it a go - you might just love it.

ThinkPad keyboards are usually extremely nice to type on (though the one on my grandfathers X1 Yoga was pretty much the same as the Latitude 7480 (which isn't bad, either).

Latitude keyboards can be hit or miss, but I really like them. The long travel is nice, though maybe not the best for things like quick messages. The only disappointing one I've used was on the Precision 7520 (the 3/7000 Precisions are pretty much just workstation Latitudes).

That said, my D630s keyboard is pretty mushy, but the high travel makes it nice to type on IMO.

Are we possibly talking about different keyboards?

I'm talking about the ones that come packaged with their enterprise desktop systems. They're of the slimline kind and really don't feel great.

What don’t you like about them?  My memory is grapes have been bred for maximum sugar production to the exclusion of all else for a very long time.  There are many different varieties.  Concord grapes for example have a very thick skin, big seeds, and are unusually “grapey”.  White wine grapes though are as close to bags of water and sucrose as can be gotten.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Edit - most countries have a thing called DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) which allows the patient to sign a form that basically says, once they die they give permission for the doctors to leave them alone and to waive any malpractice from the doctors.

Is that different though?

If you allow them to take their own life you're letting them pass away.

If the patient is critical and is dying, but they have an DNR then you're letting them pass away.

To allow a person to kill themselves quickly and painlessly a doctor has to prescribe controlled drugs. The doctor will have to sign a prescription for those drugs with is against their hippocratic oath and more importantly, illegal if the doctors knows the drugs will be used in a suicide attempt.

A DNR is simply the patient saying that once they die the doctors can leave them alone. While the patient is alive the doctors will still do everything they can to keep them alive, resuscitation can only be performed on a patient that has already died so no, the doctors are not letting the patient die. The patient died despite everything the doctors would have done, it just means they won't do CPR or give adrenalin to try and bring them back.

Honestly, I don't even know why I dislike them so much, it's just that whenever I try and eat them I just can't. I'm fine with grape flavoring in other foods, just grapes themselves I really dislike for some reason

Haha definitely not the sweetness. I eat things way sweeter than grapes all the time. I'm guessing it has something to do with the texture of them.

The “vinegar” has powdered citric acid in it.  If that is an issue, and it is for some people, they’ll taste terrible.  There’s a bunch of other stuff with powdered citric acid in it.  There’s a candy called “atomic warheads” that is actually coated in it.  They would be awful too.

Water content I would assume.  Malt vinegar is, like everything else, going to be a bunch of chemicals, one of which is water.  There will be water and citric acid and various flavenoids.
