Wait… a commercial airliner descends into a catagory 4 thunderstorm and has problems.  Yeah, that’s not “extraordinary” that’s expected. What’s extraordinary is the level of screwup that would make them them try to fly through a catagory 4 in the first place.  Apparently the aircrew got the thing down safely anyway.  Surprising but “the most amazing thing in the history of aviation”?  No.
