Should i preorder Cyberpunk 2077?

undercooked spaghetti
Hi guys, i'm thinking about pre-ordering Cyberpunk 2077. Now i'm not sure if it'll still cost 30$ after release that's why i should buy it now? Or should i wait for it to release and then wait till holdiay season and get it on a discount?

If you want to play it as it releases, preorder it. It will most probably be cheaper on holidays. Depends on your choice price or Keanu Reeves

Let me stop you there. Never pre-order things. At all. It encourages bad products.

Only thing I can say is WTF is going on with that price. Everywhere else its $60. Including GOG.com which gives you benefits over Steam & co. Looking Steam selling pre-order for -50% makes me think that Valve is really worried about not getting sales for it considering what GOG.com offers.

well, both ways are okey. You're gonna buy it anyway. But hey - where do you live ? what's up with that price? I live in europe and it's 50 or 60 everywhere.

I'm thinking about this a lot too. I've never pre-ordered anything, but I really like the vibe of Cyberpunk. Waiting seems like the best option, waiting for some first impression reviews, waiting for some bug fixes, maybe a sale. Though sales take a while for a newly released game, not sure if I would wait until the holidays (I'd want to play it during my holiday break).

If you are going to preorder it, do it in GOG. Its a Steam competitor owned and run by CDProjekt, has a ton of old games and is DRM Free, essentially meaning your can play for he game anywhere and everywhere.

That's less than half of what I'll have to pay here in Northern Europe - so I'd say go for it, it's a steal! 🙃

Yeah, GoG and Galaxy 2.0 is just slept on. Its my first stop when I'm buying a game, to support CD Projekt (who are great) and to remove the DRM from the games. Also means that I can just upload the files to a file-hosting service and just play without signing in.

I'm more of a fan of waiting for reviews & buying a year or more later when it's cheap & not in demand.
