Cyberpunk 2077 finally but will it run for you?
HempBoosh replied to Gamer Schnitzel's topic in PC Gaming
Ironically, my graphics card might be my biggest bottleneck in my current rig. I only have an Nvidia 1050Ti, hopefully it will be enough for medium or even low. I'm not expecting too much, Doom Eternal runs pretty well on my rig and looks fine so I'm quite hopeful. -
Banned because I care

Granted, at midnight you will pass out no matter where you are or what you're doing. There's no way to wake you and you will be conscious once your body is fully rested. I wish I could spend more time with my friends.

Summary Suspicious backdoors have been discovered in a Chinese-made Jetstream router, sold exclusively at Walmart as their new line of “affordable” wifi routers. This backdoor would allow an attacker the ability to remotely control not only the routers, but also any devices connected to that network. Quotes My thoughts You know the old saying "You get what you pay for", but this is a bit extreme. If I'm buying a cheap router then I expect it to perform decently. Now I'm finding out that they are potentially filled with backdoors? Feels like no matter how much res

What year was your mobile phone released? [Poll]
HempBoosh replied to SuperCookie78's topic in Off Topic
I'm using a Xiaomi Pocophone F1. It was released in 2018, although I got mine last year. I got it because of a recommendation, the performance to price ratio is really good and I especially appreciate the long battery life. My previous phone was some Samsung that I had for like 4+ years. Hopefully this one will also last that long, I don't like changing tech every year. -
Summary A group led by privacy activist Max Schrems on Monday filed complaints with German and Spanish data protection authorities over Apple’s online tracking tool, alleging that it allows iPhones to store users’ data without their consent in breach of European law. Quotes My thoughts Apple fans would always say how their products are more privacy respecting than Android, though I always found that hard to believe. And at this point I've grown to expect most digital products to collect some anonymized metrics about me. I suppose that's only a thing with Am

Summary Network access to 7,500 organizations is being sold by a threat actor on multiple Russian hacker forums. According to the listings posted on October 3 and October 26, these mainly include educational organizations. However, the package also appears to include access to corporate networks from other verticals, such as entertainment and the bar industry. Quotes My thoughts I'm quite interested in IoT and wanna try something out myself, having a high tech house seems interesting. But then I see news like this and how a lot of devices are s

It might fill the void while waiting for Cyberpunk 2077

Bold of you to assume I wouldn't play low end games on that!

I like to play guitar and live an active lifestyle when away from the computer. I think there needs to be balance between being physically active/fit and chilling while gaming or working. Since I work in front of a computer I get way less time to play video games or hang out digitally. Now it's all about biking, hiking, hitting the gym and doing chores. Sometimes I even read books to give my eyes some rest from all the screen time.

Summary Intcomex has suffered a major data breach, with nearly 1 TB of its users’ data leaked. The leaked data includes credit cards, passport and license scans, personal data, payroll, financial documents, customer databases, employee information and more. Quotes My thoughts This is one of the bigger leaks I've seen this year, but I'm glad that the companies are being professional about this and addressing the issues. The amount of data leaked is also really bad, can't believe that credit card data is not secured properly. Oh, and of course th
