Personally I would treat RAM like rice.

You don't buy 1 rice or 2 rice, you buy one or two packet of rice, or a certain weight of rice.

Same with RAM. You're buying a kit of RAM, or a capacity of RAM, but not 'a RAM'.

 

To me, the correct wording there would have been "RAM kits" or something like that.

But that raises the question.. A single stick of RAM, is that still a kit 🤔
