rtx 20 price drop with coming rtx 30?

Rokk

I recently heard that the rtx 30 series will come out in june 2020. Will there be any drastic price drops for the rtx 20 series?

Probably not. GPU's in particular rarely drop significantly in price, unless you consider used sales which usually get pretty good discounts.

Tens of dollars at best. IMO not worth waiting for, for those looking to upgrade soon who are using old cards (Nvidia 10xx/ AMD 3xx or older)

There will be more xx60 and xx70 cards on the second hand market - because of people upgrading - but usually still for somewhat high prices.

Is there any serious speculation on when the 3080s will drop in 2020?  Debating on whether I should chase after the 80 or 80ti from my 1080 ti.

we've gained about 25% of performance over a span of almost 3 years, it's slowing down. With new consoles coming in 2020, i think waiting til after the console release is a great idea, but normally just grab something in ur price range when they come out.
