Had to wait quite a bit - page is slow to load - but was able to get it.

Finally got it through the Uplay launcher, and it was slow as well. Also, your link is on the Canadian store, which will also generate an error if your country isn't supported by this store.

I'm not from Canada and it just asked me "Hey, you're on the Canadian site - you want to go your country's store version?".

I eventually got that message, but I first got a white page with an error code. The website was slow and I kept clicking on the button and it started opening multiple tabs for some reason with that code.

Isn't Unity the one that's total crap on PC?

Well apparently, Ubisoft now requires you to give them your phone number. Guess I'm never buying anything on uPlay again. I don't even like giving them my address.

Upon release. It's fine now. As with any open world game, especially Assassins Creed games, be sure to optimize the hell out of the graphic settings to get better performance.

What makes you think this? I haven't given any information to UPlay. I don't even own a phone.

Just grabbed it. The web store wanted a ton of info to checkout even after I logged in. Downloaded and fired up the app, added to my account no problem and downloading now.

What makes you think this? I haven't given any information to UPlay.

When I try to "buy" the game it asks for my address and phone number, and won't let me progress to payment options without it.

You just sign into your UPlay account via your UPlay launcher. All that's required is any email. You can put any name you wish. Never seen anything to do with any phone numbers.

It asked me to log in and then asked me whether I wanted to download or run UPlay.

No checkout process or anything.

You just sign into your UPlay account via your UPlay launcher found here... https://uplay.ubisoft.com/en-US. When you get this launcher up and going, the free game is in the store tab and looks like this...

When you hover over it, it will then say, "Get It For Free".

I played unity on PS3 and it was not my favorite of the series, but Free is a price I cant pass up! Thanks for the shout!

I'm in my uplay, with my uplay account. I said that. Ended up just giving a bogus name, address, and phone number.
