Radeon Pro Duo drops down to $800 MSRP

It looks like AMD and its hardware partners are trying to clear out old inventory to make way for Vega. Either that or XFX's price drop on its Radeon Pro Duo card on Newegg is simply an outlier. Either way, it's now priced at $800, down significantly from the going rate (around $1,400).

That is by far the lowest price we've seen for a Radeon Pro Duo card. The only other model available on Newegg is from Sapphire and it's listed at nearly $1,800, albeit from a third-party seller. The same card on Amazon is available for $1,400, while the XFX version is listed at $1,350.

Yes yes yass. Now to watch the prices on used units go down and toss it into my build with a custom water block. Yes I know vega is around the corner, but I have a mighty need!

Me want...agh, can't decide whether I want a dual GPU beast again in my life or a efficient single GPU :/ (to be honest, my RX470 is serving me perfectly fine so...I'm actually tempted to not upgrade to Vega anymore and just get a 500 quid more expensive car :P)

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Cant remember what GPU it uses, want to say fury but unsure

Two Fiji XT chips (those found in the Fury X and R9 Nano) making it essentially two Fury X GPUs in Crossfire on a single, watercooled card.

Think of it as a dual fury X on one PCB, that's what it is :D

Why do you have a 1060 6GB in your secondary PC and an RX 470 in your main rig??

Not sure if it's wise to buy that GPU, since Vega is just around the corner.

I would wait a bit more to see what will Vega offer to the GPU market.

At least for me, I'll be making a new machine entirely around AMD's new hardware, so my current build it would be fun to say it has the most powerful AMD hardware pre-2017

There are a couple of reasons why you don't wanna do that.....

  1. Size
  2. Power consumption
  3. Heat
  4. Liquid cooled

For an HTPC the RX 480/GTX 1060 are perfect choices IMO....

Well I will wait for guys like you to buy all those brand new AMD products and test them out, then decide if it's worth to upgrade from my i7 4790k xD

Wondering why are prices of those cards going down so much. It feels like AMD is trying to get rid of all the stock before they flood market with Vega and Ryzen lol

The real story here isn't the 800 USD card but what a price drop like this will do to the used market. We'll be able to pick these up for 400 bucks

I agree with this, you can always run a mid-range GPU on your HTPC and use game-stream to play at 4K using your main rig on your livingroom

Wow, this thing was so irrelevant that I completely forgot about its existence until now! It might actually become a compelling option!

Why is the God of Hyperdeath SO...DARN...CUTE!?

Also, if anyone has their mind corrupted by an anthropomorphic black latex bat, please let me know. I would like to join you.

This can kinda be a Titan x pee alternative for those Korean 4k freesync screens.

But I'd wait for even lower prices with Vega close to follow they could get even cheaper: the 295x2 did but this one might actually run on a sub 700watt psu.
