[Leak] iPhone 7/7+/7 Pro via GoldGenie

randomhkkid

Source

Looks like the most comprehensive leak yet by the gold coating service GoldGenie.

Non-pro models: A10, 2GB RAM, 12MP f2.2, Waterproof, No 3.5mm jack, USB 2.0

Pro: A10, 3GB RAM, Dual 12MP f2.2, Smart Connector, Waterproof, No 3.5mm jack, USB 3.0

[Edit] The listed specs for the 7 and 7+ appear to be the same on the site. Also interesting to note thickness is listed as 6.9mm the same as the 6 so the removal of the headphone jack has apparently not made the device any thinner.

Seriously? 2GB of RAM on the 7 and 7 Plus? Given what they're inevitably going to be charging for the things couldn't they AT LEAST put 3GB+ of RAM into even the base models?

It's a shame apple doesn't have the option of hiring Steve Jobs back. This time they really might bring themselves down from the inside. The guy was an asshole, but at least he would have stopped them from doing stupid shit like putting 2gb of ram and no headphone jack in a flagship phone.

7 and 7 Plus specs are the same, so I guess you forgot to edit those properly. The 16 GB on the base model look fishy because most rumors said they were going for 32/128/256 (basically dropping the sweetspot 64GB model).

Anything else is in line with other rumors, maybe except for those about only two models being launched, not three. The intersting thing is USB 3.0 on the Pro model and 2.0 on the other two.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens, after all the launch is in about 2 weeks. This year's iPhone will surely be the least exciting Apple launch so far (in terms of phones of course).

Edit: To those complaining about 2 gigs of RAM on a phone, I suggest you watch the "speed" comparison videos of a 6S and other phones. iOS is much more optimized than Android, it doesn't struggle with keeping a decent amount of apps in memory (unlike the Snapdragon Samsungs :P)

Depressing.  I'm glad they got rid of the headphone jack, wish they'd instead use the space for a bigger battery than 1960.  I'm more depressed about a lack of OLED and that 2gb - 3gb ram.  While iOS doesn't use all that much, it'd be nice for it to have some extra, given some people don't upgrade every year or two, and updates bog down the phone over time.

Rather disappointing.  As with @Suicidalfranco  I'll probably wait for LG's V20, though I really don't want to stay on Android.  Ah well.

Don't shoot the messenger haha those are the specs (incorrectly) listed on the website.

Added the USB3.0 comment to the first post.

Leaked info/rumours. No need to get pissed about it.. For now at least..

As a 6S user, personally I see no real reasons to upgrade to these new iphone 7/7+. The 7 pro kinda excites me especially the dual camera and wireless charging but i prefer smaller phone so I'll just probably wait for the 7S (if there will ever be one).

Apple, bump up the res on the 7 model please. I can say from experience that, for instance, youtube videos don't look as good on 6s as they do on my G2.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.
