Helmets are not useless.  With that type of helmet, they should have a visor to protect the face.  Bike helmets have more of a brim at the front for the same reason.  Even if the helmet breaks, it's still going to save your head.  Not wearing a helmet during an activity where you could possibly endure serious damage to the head is like saying you don't want your brain anymore.

well those are the wrong helmets to use for that anyway. I survived a snowmobile accident because I wore a helmet.

I'm not sure they had any to begin with.

Bu the title was a joke.

But that's the only thing that worked on that video.

Actually, aside from their stupidity (though that looks awesome), that white helmet did help. If he hadn't had that helmet, his injuries would have been far worse...

As soon as i become immortal/invincible (truthfully, better immortal, since it wouldn't be as fun without any pain), i'll be doing stuff like that!

Throw a beanie from a building and then a helmet.

See what stays intact you helmet defenders.

This is kind of a wrong analogue. Helmet doesn't weigh as much as our bodies. It doesn't accelerate as fast.

The helmet is made from a tougher material than our bodies, so that in itself is proof enough.

I was obviously being totally serious and making a valid claim in terms of physics.

As was i :P

It would have been better if you had said "Try hitting someone in the head with a helmet, let's see which of the 2 will end more destroyed" :P

That's not the same thing really. My point was that a beanie(hat) won't get destroyed if it falls. Helmet does. Ergo helmets are pointless
