mine is not delided. i usually use a razor but these pcb soo fragile

i kinda wish i had that fancy delid tool and jumpy never visits me

if the stock tim freezes when we go sub zeros im gonna have to take the lid off

I was able to get it dialed in at 5.1 GHz at 1.31v before the delid.  It passed RealBench for 4 hours at that speed/voltage and some other stresses so I think it's a solid chip.

It took a lot less voltage to pass Cinebench R15 at 5.1

Well....my 4790K is getting utterly rekt in the voltage department.

Well at work a guy came in asking if he could use semen as thermal paste... I think he was high if that counts. As for coolant I can't think of anything lol

1,5V and only 78°C lol. That's awesome temperature, concidering what voltage and cooler you have.

Did you delid your CPU maybe?

Yep, but didn't stop there; lapped both sides of IHS..

..And used CLU all around:

Bear in mind that 78°C was max temp under Cinebench R15; didn't try AIDA64 FPU only just to see my CPU burning at 90°C xD

As soon as I get some real memory (note the little league 3200 kit I'm using) I should be able to bump voltage just a hair more and push memory much harder.

Can't. Tried to push it to the magical 3600 MHz, but even one increment more (Next one up from 3200 MHz on my Rampage V Edition 10 is 3400 MHz), the system will not boot at all, and not even to the splash screen where I can get into the UEFI.

No, 3200 is the sweet spot frequency wise on Haswell-E.  What I meant by tweaking were your timings.  Drop your primary timings and work on tRFC.  CR1 is optimal if you can pull it off.

These are what I used for my 5960x.

@Jumper118

would it be allowed to have the 1.7V P3 1GHz listed sperately from my 1.75V P3 1GHz? Because unlike the 2x 1.75V P3 & 1.65V P3 667, it only has 8 caps under it as opposed to 12 (plus has a different colour PCB & is a year older):

IMG_20170116_193537.jpg

Edit:

Also, what would be some good heatspreaders for SDRAM? Because even at stock the sticks I have get a bit toasty, let alone above 150MHz .

Is that the max clock your chip can go? or is it just personal preference? Im actually targeting BWE chip as an upgrade but this score seems a little too low for the price difference.

As previously mentioned, i dont think anyone would be able to tell you exactly when or rather by how much 1.6v daily will decrease the lifespan of your chip, i guess its all down to temps and personal limitations.

If you decide to go for 1.6v daily, please keep me posted. Thanks.
