[Build Log] Snef's Bloody Angel

Snef

@Snef

I have a few questions:

1. How are your cpu/gpu temps?

2. How is the noise level overall?

3. Do you power off some fan when under idle to get an even more silent rig? ^^

thanks :D i want to build in the SMA8 too next year or so :o

its the best full tower case I ever build, its a winner for sure

1. my CPU run @ 4.6Ghz @ 1.28v and temp in game are around 65C with AIDA stress test, around 75C, I don't delid this one, I don't need more than that, I want 100% stable

for my GPU, OC @ 1306Mhz @1.20v, never saw any temp over 47C

these temp are with ambient of 25C

2- silent, see answer 3

3- my fan are pretty off all the time, I set my controller to start fan at 50% when coolant temp are at 37C, need to play a lot to start all fan

and I set pump a 50%, this build is dead silent,

I have enough rad space to say its passive

yes

a little update for Bloody Angel

I sold the Motherboard, CPU and Ram of Bloody angel

and all my hardware on the shelf

(like that, less box to move next week, I like that loll)

enough money to jump into X99 cult/religion

want more PCIe Lane

will swap the Maximus VI Formula for a Asus X99 Deluxe

swap the I7 4770k for a .......... I7 5820K (I know but 28 lane is more than enough for a tri SLI setup)

swap the 16gb (4 x 4) of DDR3 Corsair Dominator GT for 16gb (4 x 4) of DDR4 Crucial 2400mhz

im searching for another GTX 780 HOF now, found one in overclockers.uk but around $600 at my door, its to high

the board

IMG_0146_zps999258d6.jpg

and on bench to be sure everything work

I wouldn't personally switch to X99 right now because it a new platform and it needs more time to mature. Nice.

I love the tiny little graphics card you have in there for testing! What card is it?

I'm considering a move to X99 actually, if I can get what I want for my current rig... I'm thinking 5820k and a 970 in a few months. Definitely gonna do my first build log.

loll

its a Zotac GT610

That's so great, certainly no CPU bottleneck there!

I'm also curious what you're going to do with that green Crucial ram.  EK heatsinks perhaps?

@Snef Three things, can you post a 16x9 picture of the whole build so I can use it as a wallpaper? and what are those GPU backplates you are using? if they are custom, how did you make them, and if they aren't, where did you buy them? Thanks.

Thanks

tell me witch one you want  and I will resize it at 1920 x 1080 or the resolution you want

for backplate, they are custom,  ask coldzero.eu, the store is close for now  but toy can ask him on facebook

he can do exactly what you want, reference or not
