Probably, you'll see power draw vary a bit, 50W-100W depending on the job that is running. Better to aim for power efficiency and less watts though, F@H isn't exactly responsive to OC efforts so either just uses more power for basically no real gain or crashes.

Spoiler

Since you posted some nice UPS stats time for a weird flex I guess 😎

Boo, it auto set to use my cpu, not my gpu. Have to wait for the next block

Not really, just configure a GPU slot and delete the CPU slot - if you don't want to run CPU.

So I can pause, delete cpu, then start up with it running gpu on the same WU?

Yes, you can.

Go to "Advanced control -> Configure -> Slots ->  Add -> GPU" to configure a GPU slot.

Click on the CPU slot and remove it, if you need to.

Also, make sure you've set up a passkey! It takes 10WUs after getting the passkey to get your Quick Return Bonus, so maybe it would be prudent to leave your CPU running till then. A modern CPU can pull in >90-100k points per day, so IMO that's something to keep in mind before deciding to remove the CPU slot.

 No...
If you delete the CPU slot it will discard the CPU work unit and it will be counted as a failed work unit.

Set it to "Finish" where it will complete the work unit and then stop. Then once the work unit has been completed and uploaded you can delete the slot for it.

You also don't need to delete the CPU slot to add the GPU. The GPU should have already been added by default but if not you can open the configuration menu, go to the Slots tab and add a new slot for the GPU.

What GPU do you have?

Just saw the LTT Team randomly in the F@H statistics and thought I'd check around here. Glad to see people hopping into the action, gonna get my secondary PC back online 24/7 while this is going on :D

Can confirm issues with a "Downloading" message people saw earlier. Rocking a 2060 Super myself for my main build, removing the slot and adding it back again only helped me with the CPU(Ryzen 3600) when that one got stuck, but after a while the GPU just started working away as well.

That will fold for the virus, but not for this event or the team.  Check the first post for the team number to put credit towards here, and the signup sheet to be part of this folding event.

Interesting…I just got the server going again for this…and…no dice.  Was working previously, just had stopped the client on it.  I checked and I do have the most recent client version. :(

It only has Xeon cores to throw at things, like always, and is set to Any.

ATM the server is caught up and they are working on getting new WU's ready, it's been a problem getting WU's today for everyone.

If you just keep F@H client running in the background it should pick up WUs when they become available and start working them.

Yes! But dont overdue it! A 100% stable system is worth much more than one thats a bit faster but crashes from time time. A crashed system is a a loss of time and b cloud lead to a WU failing. A failed WU will have to be resend to someone else for a second try.

Thats why I suggest: If you want to OC your folding box do it CAREFULLY! This is even more important for GPU folding!

I have my ryzen 5 3600 at 4.4 ghz for day use (mostly gaming)

but if it didn’t matter much I was gonna set a folding profile, so I wasn’t running speeds that high for that long

Welp. Usually leave my PC on 24/7 anyway. Might as well put the hardware to use now.
