DAMN YOU F@H lol

 

I've just realised. i've had my 2070 super for a week now. and the only thing its done is fold lol

 

I think I only played CS:GO for an hour over the weekend.....

 

I still have games i was playing before i started folding.....

 

Will have to have a break this weekend... well the 2070 super will while the 1070ti slaves away

I bought used GTX 1070 around 3 weeks a go, it has been folding 24/7 since the day I got it. So I have no idea how it performs in gaming on my Linux system, I might find out some day. ?

I didn't realize you were trying to fold on the servers themselves. I thought you had another dedicated rig on the network that you were trying to fold on. It all makes much more sense now. And worth a try but unlikely they would be comfortable opening 80 or 8080 even just for outbound since they are such common ports.

I've got +100 on my 2070 super and +500 Memoery last night so see how that effects the PPD. got my fans at 85% and system fans at 100% (not bothered about noise as in a seperate room.  Temps are 60c

 

also have the 1070ti underneath it with +100 and +990 on memory. fans 66% and temps at 50c

 

Just as a note to everyone remember: For the average windows user the state your card is in while folding is likely a lower state than it hits with a 3d load. This usually leads to similar if not the same core clocks but will usually lock your mem clock to the base frequency (on maxwell cards overclocking doesn't change the mem clock in this state) on pascall and later the +500 that you might be using will still likely lead you to an overall lower clock than your non-overclocked frequency in gaming (3d) workloads. I urge you to double check your actuall clock speeds instead of just throwing your offset wherever you like. Also definitely remember to change your oc for gaming as it is a guaranteed crash.

 

The only people this doesn't apply to are anyone who knows how to lock their cards in different p states and all of you should know who you are anyways for everyone else keep this in mind it lead to a lot of crashes in last years folding month.

this is my 1080ti

GDDR5X can operate in Quad mode so effective clock is 4x memory clock. GDDR5 and older are only Double. That mentioned 11 value is actually 11Gbps.

When you want max cooling potential so you punch out the shity Perspex on the top of your H500P... Add some duct-tape to stop air leakage and boom, 25C lower temps!
