One 12v rail on a 1300W PSU. "Made in China".
If you buy one, set it on fire. You'll only be speeding up the inevitable.

Muffin_man17 reacted to mr moose in FaceBook to be Fined $5bn USD
Stop calling people liars when you don't know jack shit about them or their experiences. Maximum fine applicable for building without a permit here is $80K+, the average household income is $50-60K.
You might also want to call me a liar for this, but it's also true, you can have a criminal conviction recorded against you for that building too, I don't think anyone at face book is likely to have that.

Muffin_man17 reacted to mr moose in FaceBook to be Fined $5bn USD
I find it insulting that if a company breaks the law and directly intrudes on the privacy and lives of others they get a fine that amounts to fractions of profit. But if I build a shed in my own backyard that effects literally no one, I can get fined more than a years income (not just money after living expenses but whole income required for mortgages and food).

Muffin_man17 reacted to Zodiark1593 in FaceBook to be Fined $5bn USD
For large tech firms such as Facebook, in DBZ terms (since there seems to be some recent resurgence in references), it's a bit like Krillin punching a fully powered Frieza. IE, this fine barely classifies as a poke, let alone a wrist slap.

Muffin_man17 reacted to elfensky in Indie Game Developers Would Rather You Pirate their Games Than Buy From Key Resellers
I think that's been the stance of most if not all indies for a long while. They rather you pirate instead of getting charge-backs and having to pay out of pocket for settlements or having wrong numbers and thus expectations.
under what rock were you living?

ummm that makes no sense at all, thats like saying, you can solve poverty by closing your eyes because since you can not see it, it doesnt exist.
not sure how old you are, but the whole cyberbullying is a huge deal with kids these days i have also witnessed it a lot as well with grown men.. its pretty sad.

Working cheese grater sleeper build?
Here's another great meme I just came across:
A surprising number of practical applications:
1000+ Chrome tabs or hundreds of simultaneously playing videos (for machine learning?) Partitioning large amounts of RAM as a volatile data storage drive (aka "RAM Drive") Running many operating systems, heavy programs, or games at once (25 gamers/editors on one PC?) Game development ~ like running UE4 Editor, a ray or path tracer, a alpha build of your game in-client, Chrome, Skype, Spotify, and a couple dozen other collaboration/productivity programs at the same time. Home server or workstation
Of course with that many DIMM slots, multiple terabytes of Intel Optane would also be an option if Apple ever decides to support it.

Muffin_man17 reacted to mr moose in WHO recognises Gaming Addiction officially as a Mental Health Problem.
If you play a lot of anything and it effects your ability to function (I.E you start neglecting work or personal health) then it is considered a mental disorder. What the WHO have essentially done is list Gaming along side other addictive disorders like gambling and alcohol (neither of which are considered biologically addictive).
The issue here is not that they have listed it as a mental disorder, but the fact that people don't understand the process of defining and diagnosing mental disorders.
There are many disorders that centre around an activity or product that is fine for vast majority of the population. E.G alcohol disorder, gambling disorder.
Just like all the other disorders, the criteria are very important. All disorders of the mind that centre around an activity or product are described as being prioritized in the face of negative consequences and personally uncontrolled participation. So they are not saying gaming is a disorder by itself, in fact they are not even saying a lot of gaming by itself is a disorder, they are saying a lot of gaming that you cannot control even in the face of consequences directly from it (E.G losing your job because you played wow instead of going to work) is a gaming disorder.

It's possible for literally anything to become an addiction. So I don't see the need to call out Gaming Addiction and not phone addiction or whatever.

Muffin_man17 reacted to mr moose in US Senate Against Lootboxes and Pay2Win Micro-Transactions
Bull Shit, The Australian government has only completed an inquiry and has concluded that:
Should occur.
They did not conclude anything of the sort concerning it being gambling or not, in fact given the above quote it is more likely a conclusion that they do consider it a form of gambling.
https://responsiblegambling.vic.gov.au/about-us/news-and-media/australian-government-seeking-submissions-loot-boxes/
It seems the US government is also a pay to win system. But lets not got here to quickly.

Muffin_man17 reacted to Emberstone in US Senate Against Lootboxes and Pay2Win Micro-Transactions
I'm normally pretty conservative when it comes to government getting involved in industry, but this shit is predatory and is ruining games.
If you want to put in microtransactions, fine, but don't hide stuff behind 0.001% chances so people will never get them without dropping hundreds or even thousands in loot boxes.
I'm tired of seeing really cool games marred by the fact that they're centralized around you gambling for your progression (see: Elder Scrolls Blades).
And I'm tired of seeing this across the industry as a whole. You can hardly ever just buy a game anymore. You buy access to a "service" which gives you the privilege to spend more money on crap you may not even receive.
