The plugs in the pic do appear to be shifted one set to the right, as you have a bare set of pins sticking out to the left of the left connector.

    🤔
but in all seriousness, according to task manager you're not using 100% of ram, just 63%. It says that in both screenshots.

Now this is a suggestion definitely coming from a generation of kids deluding themselves into thinking they can safely text and browse while driving. If only you could stick the content on the road, you could divide your attention better, with better results? Nope.

If this technology were used in a windshield, sure, it could get road damage - but we'd take a page from cell phones, and there would be a protective layer of expendable, cheaper glass ahead of the expensive screen.

Funny thing about the mention of drive-ins is that the pandemic has led to a resurgence in drive-in theaters.

Euchre reacted to Bombastinator in My GPU heat sink is touching my metal computer case. Is this a problem?
Almost certainly not.  There probably isn’t much heat conduction, and even if there was all it would do is make the cooler work a hair better.  Think about how hard it is to get a cpu cooler to transfer heat from a cpu.  It takes unreasonably flat surfaces and a bunch of other stuff.  A mere touch isn’t going to do much.

You mean the same guy who was making fun of AT&T by dismissing a whole swath of rural states, as if humans not in urban coverage are 'trash' from "dust bowl states". Yeah, don't care much for his perspective. https://www.theverge.com/2013/1/9/3853890/t-mobile-ceo-calls-att-network-crap-mocks-verizon
I was originally replying to someone talking about how the US needs to commit to broadband ubiquity, as infrastructure. You and others seem to think that basic infrastructure is defined by how well you can game and stream multiple HD videos at once. Arguments like that are what get a lot of proposals for improved infrastructure dismissed as 'a bunch of whiny gamers' who want free access to 'winning' quality internet access. That dismissal is wrong in that we don't even have close to that level of access, nor is what is being asked for nearly so ambitious, but it is fair to say that it sounds that way - and this forum definitely is dominated by gamers. Gaming is fine, but it doesn't define the core needs that ubiquitous broadband represents.

Just get a 2tb sata ssd. Wouldn't bother with nvme unless you could get a decent drive for like $30 more. Not much point to paying a premium to get nvme for gaming right now. Something like a wd blue, mx500, samsung 860 would do fine.

Edit: The nvme ssd you have (in 2tb) can be bought for $210 right now on amazon. I'd just go for it unless there are sub $200 sata ssds on sale right now

You don't need to fill it all. You still have empty sata ports.
2TB Nvme is expensive, for the same money you can get 8TB HDD.
If 1 game is 100GB you can only fit up to 20 games, while with 8TB it's 80 games (who needs that many).
The only difference is the loading time which about 1.5x more, in gameplay it's the same.
Totally not worth it, but hey it's your money.

BTW, 8gb is basically the minimum flash drive size, but if you want to get 32 and 64 bit, Home and Pro versions, get at least a 32gb flash drive. It'll make it so you have a handy way to reinstall to any system you want.

Dude relax nobody said anything about India as a country.

Yes you could find better services if you paid more in india but those services would have fluent English speakers to begin with.

And it is common knowledge that in India exist "sweatshop" like call centers it isnt something related to racism... This doesnt mean that Indians are lesser people, sweatshops exist (for electronics and clothing mostly) in places like china as well, India has more "phone center" oriented sweatshops.

Euchre got a reaction from pd. in Can you build a sleeper PC with almost NO cooling?
I don't agree in the sense that it wouldn't be impossible to create a fanless and waterless cooling solution, just very much harder. With a heat pipe or vapor chamber setup, you could create one massive enough to transfer away heat to a very large sink with a lot of surface area for dissipation. In fact, I'd love to see Linus attempt exactly that - make a completely fanless and waterless PC using normal components, not laptop or ITX embedded stuff.

Euchre reacted to greenhorn in I spent two days in my attic for this...
Maybe I'm too paranoid, but I would put the visible parts of the outdoor ethernet cable in some metal tubing to make it more difficult for a thief to just cut them. Also, when mounting the camera on a brick wall, I would drill into the brick so that it is more difficult to tear the camera off the wall. Which brings me to the next question, how sturdy are those cameras? Could they easily be smashed using a shovel for example or could they be just turned away from the area of interest using a stick or similar device?
