This is more of a retroactive(?) approach for linked content that has bypassed spam filters.

Sites used to display messages like these for external links with onClick, onBeforeUnload, or other implementations:

During this time you can compare the external link to a blacklist in whatever implementation you've created and display an appropriate message. e.g. Navigation to <domain> has been blocked due to known malicious content. OR <domain> appears suspicious, are you sure you wish to continue? While this can easily be bypassed using URL shorteners and really any website with open redirects, it's an extra layer of security while cleanup is being done. It's a bit of work, but spam filters can't catch everything, so additional mitigation options after the spam has been created are always useful.

The thing about minimum wages is that not everyone earns minimum wage. So yes, when the wage goes up, so do goods. But because the cost increase is spread about to everyone, including those that earn more, the cost increase is smaller than the minimum wage increase - it's still a net positive for those on minimum wage.

And typically any job losses, etc, are short term at best (Unless it's a massive drastic increase, which could cause a shock to the system).

This is going to be derailed quickly. This is a troubling situation where Blizz is in the right to block any user as they are a private company and political outbursts can hurt the company image regardless of what the outburst was for. But on the other hand the political statement was meant to empower a belief the user had strong opinions on and is a very hot topic currently. Either way Blizzard would have been affected and the user most likely chose a bad time to voice such an opinion in an inappropriate time.

There is alot to this I do not have enough knowledge on so please do not tear this to shreds. Im wanting to see both sides before hopping on either sides bandwagons.

Blizzard, the "we've checked and you were in fact violating the Terms of Conduct, but we can't tell you which one".

I always regarded Blizzard highly, but after encountering endless "being offensive and toxic" bullshit (you're literally not even allowed to make fun of yourself because that is in fact a bannable offense apparently) in Overwatch I've seen their true colors. And ppl think EA is bad. LMAO. Wait till you experience Blizzards fuckery... They are so obsessed with political correctness and catering to some fucking groups on all ends they are the real total garbage.

I mean... the rule basically just says "we can ban you at our discretion". Which of course they can - that doesn't make it acceptable.
And yet they have taken a side and it's a little naive to ascribe less power to a massive corporation than to a politician. It's also absurd to assume they have no political interests - they absolutely do, they are interested in any and all politics that will make them more money.
Except it's not. This is extremely political (not that there's such a thing as apolitical actions) - and, unlike YouTube banning nazis, this is actual censorship because it's enforced by the Chinese government through economic pressure on companies like AB.
It's not being spun, everyone dumping on Blizz knows exactly how things stand. It doesn't matter if they are technically in their right, it's still an awful thing to do.
Nah, they could do whatever they wanted. They don't risk going broke any time soon, they're just greedy, soulless bastards who value money they don't need over human rights.
Hardly an excuse for the encouragement of human rights violation. You could use that argument to defend slavery if it held any water.
I think there's plenty of reason to be mad about this even without the lies.

Blizzard is a damn company not a charity.
    Your comparison makes no sense.

You really think that blizzard would want to get all their games banned from china because some "pro player" decided to violate the competition rules?

They did the only thing they could have done in that situation. They had the rules in place, and the person clearly violated them.

Take a deep breath, and think about the situation again from a logical standpoint, not from an emotional one.

if you ask blizzard where they stand on that debate are they going to say we need to be impartial and not take a side? no they are going to say they support minorities because it doesnt cost them

I think you maybe misunderstand the point of the 10 cent fee for plastic bags...?

It's an incentive for you to bring your own reusable bags that will last you years (in some cases, decades).
Wait a second, you getting 5 cents deposit back on bottles and cans makes you throw them in the trash? No offense, but why in the hell would you do that? Many places don't even have bottle deposit fees (In Ontario, we only have bottle/can deposits on alcohol).

You're supposed to return them for your money back. If you can't be assed to get your money back, at least recycle them.

I finished my Super Star Destroyer kit yesterday, already ordered a Y-Wing. I've had some extra cash as the insurance on my totalled car came through and they paid out what I wanted which was £500 more than what the replacement car has cost me... and I still have another £350 to come back. Given that the replacement car has only cost me £240 in immediate maintenance as I was able to transfer a load of parts from the old car to upgrade the new one. (same car, even the same colour, but a year newer and 25% fewer miles on it and cost £300 less to buy than the old one did 9 months ago).  So the value of the new one is about £1000 more.  Thankfully I got it from another Honda enthusiast who's looked after it.

So I've used some of that extra money to buy these, and I still have another £150 in birthday money to blow on toys and I'm gonna combine that with any money I get for xmas to buy a butt load more kits in the new year. I feel like having an X-Wing, B-Wing, Snow Speeder, Tie Fighter and perhaps the Tantive IV or a regular Star Destroyer.

I'm gonna need more shelves in my office.

I gotta second RejZoR. This definitely sucks for Adobe users in Venezuela but at the same time this is why I hate relying on software/services where the hosts can just go *yoink* and disable the software even if it's downloaded on your machine.

    My Thoughts:
While I get where the ADA complaint is coming from, I am a terribly upset that additional groundwork wasn't set forth to prevent troll lawsuits. I've read horror stories of troll ADA complaints from newspapers to reddit's legaladvice sub and it's definitely not fun. This can easily be abused with automated detection of potentially infringing websites by detecting those using old, not screen-ready friendly content (looking at you Flash), and become mass troll lawsuits easily. Regardless, hopefully some good with come with this with the removal of more user-unfriendly site content (once again, looking at you Flash)

True, but I'm still right. They need to teach kids how to take care of their own household, how to balance a budget, how to not get into debt, how to pay their taxes, etc.

These subjects are not open for debate, they are things literally everyone needs to know how to do, and are not being taught (as far as I am aware). Instead, we let them get into massive amounts of debt, telling them college is super important, but not that what you actually take there is important. We neglect to tell them that certain degrees are essentially worthless and will only net you a job at Starbucks, whereas if they had taken a trade job or maybe a STEM job, they could make some actual money and be successful in life.

Also, I wasn't raised in the "you're a victim of something" era, it's just what I see from working at schools, it's what they are teaching.
