Might have a bad stick of RAM.
I'd start looking at ways of testing the RAM to see if that's the issue and not the MOBO.  Memtest etc.
    Glad it posted!

The product page in english shows a 500W PSU. open the case and check the side of the PSU. remove it if you have to. it MUST be labeled.

Everywhere I've found it for sale online has a 500w. UK, Germany, USA.
Open your computer and look to see what PSU you have.

Wont even power on?  Does holding the button down do anything?  Windows shouldn't be causing the button to not work, that sounds like a hardware issue to me.

Maybe pull the CMOS battery and see if that clears things?

Basically any stable SSD would be a big difference.
I think if I'd buy an SSD for given price I'd go with - https://pcpartpicker.com/product/6G9tt6/team-t-force-vulcan-g-512-gb-25-solid-state-drive-t253tg512g3c301

But if to extend the price range - nvme 1TB drive would be better - https://pcpartpicker.com/product/KMkgXL/crucial-p2-1-tb-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-ct1000p2ssd8

I think if we do see a fingerprint sensor, it's going to be similar to the one that is found on the new iPad.

Sounds like that iPhone has been through a lot. You certainly are in a tough position. The next iPhone is about half a year away with no guarantees that the next one will offer what you want.

If you're otherwise happy with the 8 Plus, go for the repair option. It's still a perfectly good phone to use in 2021.

TheGlenlivet got a reaction from DrMacintosh in Iphone 13 fingerprint sensor rumors
I am not a chaser of new and shiny things, but I have had this phone since new and it needs a new front screen, back glass, mute switch (it's still in there, but you gotta ago looking for it to get it to work) and battery (down to 70%).
It's time for either an upgrade or big repair.
I'm willing to spend the money on a device I use everyday.  The price, while steep, is worth it for me.
But as you and I have discussed @DrMacintosh, NO FINGERPERINT SENSOR, NO BUY!!!

I appreciate the username and picture. Thank you. And yeah, I'm aware of the size issue. I'm happy going a little bigger, most of the flying I'll be doing from here on out will be CFI stuff, so having the extra real estate for ForeFlight and my students will be useful. The mini (for me) is a little too small for note taking in class. Thanks for the tip though.

TheGlenlivet reacted to Skiiwee29 in Hi, new i7 cpu wont work on system?
Z170 is incompatible with the 9700k. You can only use a 6 or 7 series CPUs on a Z170/Z270 board.. you would need a 3 series Motherboard to support a 9 series processor.

Edit: Removed 4 series Boards, thats LGA 1200.. not 1151.

    No worries.
Your CPU is very capable.  A 3070 or 3080 would be a good match too, if you have the budget.

Yup, if you can find a 3060, it's a good pairing.  It would be a nice upgrade from your old card.

sell your laptop and get a better one. laptops are very difficult/impossible to upgrade. so not sure why you bough a terrible laptop (judging by the specs, can't have been more than $250) and kept $500 for upgrades, instead of getting a $750 laptop in the first place.

    Quoting from Guru3D
This means you should have enough room for four x16 slots and one x8 slot, but that would depend on how exactly your motherboard has allocated them.

I'm going to guess at least one of these is used by your GPU. Not sure what the existing M.2s use, but assuming your motherboard still has a free x16 slot, then you should be able to add the Hyper M.2 with 4 times 4x.
