trentklein got a reaction from 2DPrinter in Rocket League/Epic Games shows error when trying to boot
No clue! I did look up the minimum specs and I BELIEVE his pc should be able to run it? Though I am having him check which direct x he is running. But dedicated GPU aside he should be able to run it fine.

trentklein got a reaction from 2DPrinter in Rocket League/Epic Games shows error when trying to boot
My friend has been playing Rocket League on an integrated graphics i7 pc with windows 7 but all of sudden, the game would not boot and instead say error. He has tried reinstalling epic games along with the game, but now he gets the error message when just trying to open epic games. Anyone have an idea why this is? Is it because he is on windows 7?

trentklein reacted to NickFromSweden in Help me decide on a new (m-atx) case?
The day someone makes a mATX case that will fit up to 40mm rad + 25mm fans (2x140) in front (and top) with a full D5 or DDC + res combo I'll be the first in line to buy it. It will be perhaps a bit of an odd shape (low and somewhat long). Ideally something along the lines of a Define Mini "S". I have built in both the Define Mini C and the Evolv mATX and they are adequate for AIOs but not a full loop - not with any ease at least.

trentklein reacted to KenjiUmino in Can someone explain why Luke doesn't like Shadowplay?
so 50% CPU usage and 100% disk IO all the time without anything running but the OS is better ?
so booting to a black screen after an update on a system that worked perfect is better? (i am talking about win 10 to win 10 update - not 7 to 10 or something)
so starting a bing search everytime you are looking for a file on your LOCAL drive is better?
so wasting more time than necessary to get shit done because UI designers forgot how to think in a straight line and think jumping through hoops all the time is better?
if that's what you are into - go for it, will stay close minded and keep using my stuff improperly by clean uninstalling everything that gets in my way and looking for alternatives that let me do stuff the way i want.
i'm done here

If you clean installed and maintained your OS properly, you wouldn't have any of those issues just like me.
Of course there will always be people who crash their car because they are shitty drivers and still blame the car.

trentklein reacted to Nexxus in I think we need to have a movement to make linus eat the california reaper
I would love to see him endure it in a wan show ad spot.
OR make the whole crew endure it for a challenge in a super fun video. It wont be super fun for them, but for us? I think it will be highly amusing.

trentklein reacted to DSD27 in Audio gremlin with samsung
Can I use this thread so I don't need to create one for a noob question? I have a samsung tv and home theater.
If I connect the STB to the TV by HDMI and then the TV to home theater through Optical, the TV will be receiving the audio through HDMI and outputting it to Optical, will I be loosing any sound quality in that process?

Thanks! I will go with the 6500. Just need to find a decent cheap mobo with enough fan headers.

trentklein reacted to xephoneration in Budget upgrade: stay AMD or go Intel
Because those freaking chips are as hot as the freaking sun.... if you want "silent" gaming on any of those FX chips aio is a god send. MY FX 6300 would be in the high 60s to low 70s when I OC a 4.8ghz on my hyper 212. When i got my H115i at the time I went from that to high 40s to low 50s and that was on the preset on quite mode

I was originally going for a Corsair RM750 for my new build until I read the reviews, now I'm going with the EVGA Supernova G2 750 instead (and I've always been a huge Corsair fan). Read through these and you will go with the EVGA
