Yes, an unstable memory clock can cause games to freeze, crash and artifact. So you might have to dial it down until it stops doing that.

Unless your BIOs has some kind of security flaw viruses should be unable to set a password on it from in the OS. As for resetting your BIOs password; you'd likely have to get a new BIOs chip or perhaps clear your CMOS by removing your motherboard battery.

Take everything out and dry it off, if you notice corrosion or water stains, using some 99% isopropyl alcohol to displace that water that may still be trapped or clean if off any bad spots you see.

Thanks for the tip. Think I should risk pushing to 1.4 volts? It's tempting seeing as a couple cores seem like they're going to go beyond 4.7GHz.
I'm a tad bit disappointed with that core.

Doing it for the internet ego points and perhaps a couple benchmarks, though having wonky clocks will probably throw off my score in some.
I guess I will run it on a trial period and see if Win10 handles funky core clocks well.
It wasn't a question, I just wanted opinions.

This is a guide on how to get your pc to greet you!
(Yes i know that i'm not the first on to post this and I AM NOT THE FOUNDER of this code.
What you need: A computer running windows 7 or higher, a windows notepad,
    Here is the steps:
    1) First you need to create a code inside notepad or a text document.
    Copy this code:

    Set Sapi = Wscript.CreateObject("SAPI.SpVoice")
    dim str
    if hour(time) < 12 then
    Sapi.speak "Good Morning User"
    else
    if hour(time) > 12 then
    if hour(time) > 16 then
    Sapi.speak "Good evening User"
    else
    Sapi.speak "Good afternoon User"
    end if
    end if
    end if
Sapi.speak "The current time is "
    if hour(time) > 12 then
    Sapi.speak hour(time)-12
    else
    if hour(time) = 0 then
    Sapi.speak "12"
    else
    Sapi.speak hour(time)
    end if
    end if

    if minute(time) < 10 then
    Sapi.speak "o"
    if minute(time) < 1 then
    Sapi.speak "clock"
    else
    Sapi.speak minute(time)
    end if
    else
    Sapi.speak minute(time)
    end if
    if hour(time) > 12 then
    Sapi.speak "P.M."
    else
    if hour(time) = 0 then
    if minute(time) = 0 then
    Sapi.speak "Midnight"
    else
    Sapi.speak "A.M."
    end if
    else
    if hour(time) = 12 then
    if minute(time) = 0 then
    Sapi.speak "Noon"
    else
    Sapi.speak "P.M."
    end if
    else
    Sapi.speak "A.M."
    end if
    end if
    end if

    (end of code)
    2) Paste this code inside the note that you created earlier. Make sure it ends with .vbs
    3) Go to User > AppData > Roaming > Microsoft > Windows > Start meny > Program >Autostart
Put the file ín Autostart And Reset your pc

When you log in to your account You should be greeted by ex ( Good Evening User the time is 12:00)
I hope you like this post and if you need further instructions Please notify me and i will make a youtube video about it!

Sounds to me like you are looking for a 75% form factor board then. The bonus is that those also have arrow keys. Anyway, You'd be surprised at how easy it is to live with a lack of dedicated function keys, especially if you reprogram Fn to be where caps lock normally is...

Tell me about it. I got banned from GTA Online because a hacker spawned money on me; it took them a week to reply and 2 months to actually lift the ban. I have a grand total of a couple of minutes online because of that.

Yeah. The problem you're having is common for a bad overclock. But, if you're running at stock, something is definitely wrong.

SamTheWelshDragon reacted to TrifectaIII in I dont think my system is getting the performance it should...
For reference, yes the 970 is capable of a lot more. Out of the box with no OC, my 970 was pulling 350 average at max settings easily, even with shadowplay on.
What is your config like? If you have fps_max set to some lower number (like 150 or something) that would be a problem. Also, if you have it set to 0, that can both drastically increase load times (due to the stupid way volvo decided that loading screens should work) and actually DECREASE fps. With fps_max at 999, I get fps anywhere between 300 and 500. With fps_max at 0, I struggle to get into the 200s.

Man stop spaming ... you already got your answer several times. It is fine!
OCCT with AVX capable linpack and Prime95 put such stress on your CPU causing it to overvolt that the temps will skyrocket no matter the cooling. Dips in temperatures are normal when the CPU is switching to another task during stress test.
Use Aida 64 ... 60*C is totaly fine. You may have unlucky chip resulting in slightly higher temps than average but there is nothing you can do about that as long as you dont want to delide. IT IS FINE.

I use the SP120 Quiet Edition fans on my H100i; my 4790K idles around 18-20 °C and at 100% load I hit 45-50 °C. They're whisper quiet and run off the H100i headers.

The salt in this thread is real. Apple is dumb for shipping the same GPU as their lower resolution phones in their higher resolution counterparts, at leased from a technical standpoint; financially it makes more sense.
