Will an unstable memory clock make games freeze?

I got my R7 370s memory clock to 1500MHz and now it keeps freezing, I had no crashes or issues when doing the overclocking and tested for 20 minutes each time as suggested by various forumers, but the game refuses to stay stable, happens mostly when I change settings or try to run benchmarks.

Yes, an unstable memory clock can cause games to freeze, crash and artifact. So you might have to dial it down until it stops doing that.

Stability (lack thereof) can show in different ways at different times. The only thing I could suggest is to back off the overclock and see if the situation improves.

real gaming stresses it differently than burn ins and benchmarks.  Some games have a fit at speeds that are stable for 97% of everything.

There's something cool here - you just can't see it.
