[Project Log] REINFORCED - TUF - Z170 Sabertooth - 980Ti SLI

50mm

Looks very good, like the color scheme and while I was skeptical of the liquid for the cooler at first I think it works really really well. Good job!

It a shame you have to remove the sexy cooler but water cooling is much better.

The GPU will keep its stock cooler, watercooling only for CPU in this build :)

Update

Took off the cooler and disassembled it to change the illuminated Strix logo.
Since i want every red part to be orange in end i bought LEE 135 Deep Golden Amber filter foil which i put behind the acrylic after i sand down the red at the back of it.
Looks pretty cool already imo, but i want to put a "980Ti" decal behind the acrylic so it doesn't look that empty. :)

How did you add the orange lighting on the front? Hidden Led strips?

Oh, do tell, @50mm! Maybe a picture of where you put them?

Ahem, https://au.pcpartpicker.com/b/Fs3Ff7

But I suspect Fiddy placed a large orange neontube or old globe lamp at the rear of the case, hence the backwash of light on the brick wall.

All the people coming up with the same ideas haha, better get my move on. Fiddy-mm this gonna be amazing, all the sub. + Welcome to Club Aluminum [i stroke it, do you?]

I can't find any sellers of the Evlolv ATX here in America. Friend really wants a "Mac like" PC built in one.

@ClownFace1511 @Rumikarimu @DieHörnær

Yup, hidden LED Strips!

The light in the backgorund comes from our staircase :P

DieHörnær your rig looks pretty sweet, there will always be people who have the same ideas as you, can't do anything about it :D
Thanks for the sub! and about your question.. who knows

Woah, thought all the light bleed around the edge of the front face was from another light source. Will your 280 radiator + fans block the light from the front LEDs from bleeding into the case, if you're going UV on the inside? Or do I smell mods, mmmmmmmm.

Stroke it fiddy. Great to see so many builds in this case after what seems like a long drought since release!

Hehe, i hope it'll block the light, otherwise - mods :D till know everything seems fine, even without the rad, we'll see.. anyway i want to make a switch to turn on/off the UV light

*renames page into fiddy-mm*

really love this case!

Already posted this some days ago on facebook, but i also want to hear your opinion. I'm not sure which CPU Block i should use..

The Acetal one fits the motherboard very good, but i also want to see the coolant inside the block ( just imagine how it will look under UV  )

I would go for the 2nd block, fits better with the TUFF armor, colors are more alike and you get to see the sexy coolant.

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

2nd, I think the nickel on the block fits better with the gray of the board than the acetal.

I was reading the specs of saber tooth and found it only supports up to 2400MHz. Is this true or can you overclock if you wanted to?

I didn't test it yet, but for me this is no problem. I'm currently running 16 gigs of ddr4 2133MHz corsair lpx in my main rig and the difference between faster ram and this one is too small to upgrade. As far as i know higher clocked RAM will clock down to 2400MHz if you use it in the Sabertooth
