  1. Sorry to revive teh thread @W-L - finally had a read through (dayummm 50K views!) and nice to see peeps found some nifty solutions around my foolery - love all your builds. With the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X being released a couple months ago I thought I'd chuck in my 2cents for @Ledury - I got the Lian Li PC011 - hopefully you did too? 6700K @4.7 & GTX 1080Ti stock 3 x 360 Alphacool radiators - 2 x 45mm and 1 x 30mm with Noctua NF-F12s Running at 600rpm, idle temps are in the 20-30°C range and running at 700-900rmp under load are in the mid 40°C range [all dust filters are on!]. Rig is virtually silent - pic:
  2. This is bloody fantastic! Can't wait to see this all finished up, hope you got your Journeyman-letter and some sleep hahaa! How much will the whole thing weigh when complete? Best of luck mate!
  3. As BananaDealer said the fans that you have listed are all pretty good. For the AIO that you are buying it won't really matter that much between fans. The main factors will be what noise you consider to be comfortable for the fans to run at for the temp your CPU hits while gaming. You won't really be able to figure this out until you have the thing setup, until then your main concern should be price - since you are only going with an AIO then spending almost half the price of the AIO for two fans is a bit over the top. If you look at the table you provided you will notice that the fans all run at different max RPMs and this is what the rated static pressure has been measured at. You can see sneaky Corsair has pushed their fans up to 2400 RPM to get higher static pressure to try and sneak back $$ from all the watercoolers buying Noctua and EK fans that run at 2000rpm. If you average the Noctua, EK and Corsair fans all out they are most likely indistinguishable or show a negligible difference at 2000 RPM in terms of noise, static pressure and airflow. So how much are you willing to spend, do you have a theme for your PC and do you plan to build a full loop in the future? Consider these questions and note that the only opinion that really matter is your own as it is your cash. If you want some great reviews of fans have a look at http://thermalbench.com/category/fans/ The bloke there is doing the best reviews on the net at the moment (IMO) and takes into account cost and provides recommendations in his conclusions. If you are looking for fan speed management software, then speedfan is good, your own motherboard software will work fine and is free or you could grab a pwm hub like the Phanteks one that you can plug multiple fans into and connect to your mobo to run through its software. If you are looking for something a bit more in depth then have a look at the Corsair commander mini - it has 6 slots for fans but you can run more with splitter cables (up to the max voltage) and you then download corsair link which is a pain to setup but I have been using it for the past year with no issues. It lets you set profiles and even adaptive RPM based on the temperature of your CPU or GPU - for instance when gaming your temps rise and so does your fan speed to compensate. It also includes 4 temp sensors you can place in your case, pretty neat but expensive. Hope this helped, I've been going through the runs picking fans atm too, haha.
  4. How many fans you got in the case? 2 intakes and 2 exhaust up top? I've been considering flipping my rear 120 next to cpu from an exhaust to an intake, just can't seem to find an appropriate dust filter. Might have to make one...I'm only hitting 60 under load so not as pressing. Is your PSU mounted up or down too? I think Jayz2cents did a video a while ago on case pressure.
  5. Yes it does mate, you might have to click on it though.... http://www.stempel-hauser.de/shop/page/2/ I'll save you the week I spent researching these. You can order it from stempel but there is a guy in Portugal that makes them for alot cheaper. Or just cut out the middleman and make one yourself like I did [straya shipping urgh]. Measure where you want to put the light and go to your local perspex/plastics shop and ask for two solid white pieces and a clear perspex piece about the same thickness as the two white pieces put together. Grab a thermaltake white LED strip or equivalent and then go to Bunnings and buy some silver insulation tape and tape up the base and the edges thick enough to block light, with the LED strip on the edge you want. Voila half the price and time of waiting for it to ship. Fiddy mm has a nice guide here but there are plenty online on other pc modding sites. The trick to achieving uniform illumination accross the top piece is to carve with a box cutter or knife a grib pattern into the middle piece to reflect the light through the piece so that you get that nice glow. Fiddys guide from page 5: There is another guide somewhere on the internet that I found after pouring over martmamods thread [http://www.overclockingstation.de/case-modding-gehaeuse-bastelecke/4293-martmas-gravur-laser-murdermod-thread.html] But I can't find it atm, it showed a discussion on what the best thickness was for the space between cuts for the grid pattern and what perspex was the best to use. Whatever, here is mine: Forgive me for spamming your thread flix29, just wanted to help starwarsguy99 and anyone else whom finds this. Looking forward to seeing the end result after you absence!
  6. Put the monitor inside the computer?
  7. What did you do to that poor little demon? Demom rights 2016!
  8. Mebe some doublesided tape on the back of the mobo tray, thats where my SSDs are. I dunno I reckon your pump position looks good, just different.
  9. C'arn Straya!!!! Raising the Very Best for ya m8!
  10. There is, just need to get creative. Last picture on the page: Looks great! Why did you tape up the Corsair PSU wattage?
  11. Yes I can see your SSD. Hmm have you tried another monitor? Could you please descibe the problem in full, for instance: - What you are doing when the stuttering occurs. - What it looks like, whole screen image moves, jagged lines accross screen. Can you take a picture, that would be very helpful. -How long it lasts...etc
  12. Are those your only two options where you live? Says up to 61mm for CPU cooler on Silverstone's website.
