G290X - Custom Painted R9 290 Tri-x & more! -

I've gotten the GPU, so all I've got to do now is paint a couple things, and then maybe later get a different case.

 

 

- Get the Sapphire r9 290 Tri-X

- Paint these things myself:

     - GPU Shroud

     - Memory heatsinks

     - Corsair Fan rings (TBD)

     - Keyboard Plastic case (TBD)

 

 

This will be my current build with a better Graphics card, and an awesome colour scheme.

CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor  

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler  

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard

Memory: 2x4gb (8gb) G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 

GPU: EVGA 760 4GB GDDR5

Case: Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (White) ATX Mid Tower Case  

PSU: Corsair RM 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply  (I planned for GTX 460 SLI when I bought this)

For the psu, you could consider the 600w sfx one from Silverstone although i'm not sure whether that will be enough for 970 SLI

Switched over to it, saw the issue, fixed it, gonna use this theme now. 

 

For the psu, you could consider the 600w sfx one from Silverstone although i'm not sure whether that will be enough for 970 SLI

 

So I'd probably just be able to keep this one, although the likelihood of SLI is so little due to my parents.

It is quieter than the others, but also slower. What will you use it for?

I wouldnt recommend them for games that tend to load a lot, like Battlefield, but other that it's fine

We'll I've just plugged it in, and am having some issues with having it read, so I've gone into command prompt and run "sfc/scannow", which will try to find it.

I doubt I'll take any pictures. :u

So my computer didn't like something, as many hours later I have had to reinstall windows, emptying my C: drive entirely.

 

... and the new hard drive is still not recognized as a drive.

So I've installed my WD green, nothing fascinating and it doesn't call for any pictures considering it's still in my old build.

I've sold my GTX 760 through Paypal, will be boxing that up and shipping it soon, but more money towards that new GPU!
