Disney theme parks bans selfie sticks

There is a growing trend which Disney theme parks tried to cop: Bringing in a selfie stick on ride and record one self.

This is a dangerous in so many level that all Walt Disney has decided to ban selfie sticks from all theme parks.

The ban will take effect at Disney World and California's Disneyland on Tuesday, and July 1t for the remaining Disney parks around the world.

 

Disney initially tried to accommodate selfie sticks, forbidding users from taking them out on rides but allowing them elsewhere on park grounds. And yet people kept bringing them onto popular rides like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad anyway, which led the company to put up prominent "No selfie sticks" signs at some of its biggest attractions.

But even that has somehow failed to halt the annoying trend; just this week, a roller coaster at Disney's California park was put out of commission for an hour because someone decided they had to have that killer selfie at the ride's highest point.

If you bring a selfie stick in the park, at the bag check, you will asked to leave it at the entrance and pick it up when you leave, or go back to your car or hotel in the park, and leave it there.

I can see why they wouldnt allow them on rides, thats just trouble waiting to happen, but not at all in the park seems a lil too much, what if you wanna take some dank selfies with Mickey and crew?

They tried to still allow them in the parks, just not on rides, but people did it anyway cause people are fuck tards and this is why we can't have nice things.

i fucking hate these people who bring them on rides. they should just continue letting them use them in the parks and not on rides and if they catch anybody on a ride with them before they get on the ride, they're not allowed to ride. simple as that.

Well the problem is people are sneaking them on to rides, so it's much easier to ban them at the entrance of the park than at the entrance to every ride.

no sarcasm. they should just ban the selfie sticks at the ride and catch anybody trying to sneak them on and prevent them from riding it. i mean there are people who almost never bring on selfie sticks onto rides, but they still use them within the park. they should just ban them on rides, not the whole freaking park.

Now we just need to find a way to ban them everywhere, and then we will be okay. No idea if anyone has ever seen these used in real life, but down on campus, it is horrendous. Not to mention the amount of people that do not pay attention when using them, and swinging them around hitting people trying to get the best angle for their selfie. 

 

I miss the old days when people learned how to use photoshop to crop out an arm, and add a muscular arm that did not match the rest of the body. BRING THAT BACK.

i dont think so. they need to ban them for the rides and the best way to do that is for them to not let them in the park. you could just stick it up your sleeve and use it on the rides
