How do you stop yourself from buying unnecessary things?

bleedblue

A pair of Jaybird Freedoms are on sale for ~$50. I don't need them, I'm quite happy with just using my Arctis 5 for music. But man, I have this urge to just get them. How do I stop myself from essentially wasting $50??

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

Convince yourself that there would be a better deal in the future, that's what I do.

I also use only my bank account to buy stuff. This is why I transfer unnecessary money away from it at the end of the month. Can´t purchase without thinking now

Budget

It's well within my budget of "wants" for this month...it's just that I know I won't use it much. But damn is it enticing.

How do I stop myself buying un-necessary things? Quite simply..

I just follow this simple process:

Do I want it?
Do I actually NEED it?
Do I have the money?
Can I AFFORD it?
Just because I can, Should I?

What else could I buy that is more important?
If I buy this now, what if I need something else?

Instructions ? WHAT?!?!?! A man don't need instructions!       Oh............wait a minute...........................What's this bit for?  aaaaaagh!!

How do I stop myself from buying unnecessary things? I buy lots of unnecessary things until I have no more money :S

If you're interested in a product please download and read the manual first.

the way i manage is by not being able to decide anyway for example i need a new speaker setup but then i cant decide between klipsch, teufel and kanto so then i see a deal on one of them but the fear of it being inferior to my other options keeps me from going for it but honestly i have a logitech g13 at home so sometimes i buy shit just cause it looks like a cool idea in my head.

"You know it'll clock down as soon as it hits 40°C, right?" - "Yeah ... but it doesnt hit 40°C ... ever  😄"

I used to put things in my basket, put the money that the item(s) would cost in a different bank account and then leave it like that for a week or two.

When you come back to your basket after a week or two you'll know if you definitely want/need the item and with the money being in a separate account you'll know the financial toll buying it outright would have had on you, so you'll know if you can comfortably afford it by that point as well.

If you want it get it then, if not remove it from the basket and keep the money in a separate account for savings ;)

Self control it's easy to do. Ask yourself this "Do what you currently have still work?" If yes then no need to replace them

Work a little more, make an extra $75, spend 50 and save 25. That's essentially what I do.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.

I don't. I tend to buy a lot of things i don't NEED, but want for one reason or another.

you need help. Don't buy stuff you don't need. If the concept seems alien, seek help.

i just don't...self control i guess

Insanity is not the absence of sanity, but the willingness to ignore it for a purpose. Chaos is the result of this choice. I relish in both.
