I'm so glad it's satire xD

I'm gonna be honest, I don't really get the stigma around socks with sandals.

If it's comfortable, why shame people who do it?

Because its ugly and there's a lot of ugly out there.

Many, if not most, people's feet are one heck of a lot uglier than sandals with socks.

Lots of young Japanese in Tokyo are wearing slip on shoes with socks as part of the fashion. For me that is even more confusing than socks and sandals, but Japanese fashion can be bizarre so I won't get info it. Maybe it has connections with the traditional footwear (socks and getas)

 

Personally, having socks while wearing sandals just defies the purpose of having sandals. Also it is a recipe how to destroy socks really fast.

It's hideous but I'll respect anyone's preference as long as they're comfortable with their choice.
