I would recommend building it on the glass table because building it on the floor would be kinda bad for your back.

And you can build it on a carpet but i wouldnt recommend it

I would recommend building on the glass table because it will prevent your components from being shocked.  The wooden floor would also be acceptable, but building up static charge on the carpet is likely, and that could damage components (so I would personally avoid the carpet).

Not if you build it in your boxers like I did when I had to build on the carpet. No socks for sure.

I have built a PC between all 3 and a wooden table. so can you do it yeah, does the floor suck to work on maybe: if you small and limber it may not be bad but for my inflexible body it sucks.

Why would you seek danger if you could play it safe?

From the three surfaces mentioned, carpet is definitely the worst when trying to avoid static charge build up and frying your motherboard.

You would most likely be fine. But I would not take the chances.

Build a PC on a carpet?  Sure but not recommended

Build a PC on glass table or wooden floor?  Sure why not?

But if you have no table, no wooden floor and only carpet is available then I would suggest to build it on your bed.  I think that's still safer than carpet.  :)

if you hear sparks you know it's dead. But if you have a metal railing, or exposed metal parts that you can touch you will be fine. don't rub your feet on the carpet, It's been months for me since I had static discharge.

Table is overall best. Flatten your cases cardboard box to protect surface.

It's definitely best to build it on a table.  Carpets are more likely to generate static.  The PC will be fine sitting on the carpet after it's been built (that's how mine was for close to 15 years - not all the same PC, BTW), but you wouldn't want to risk damaging the components.  Fun fact, you can't really feel static electricity until it's reach about 1,000V or more, and the big sparks you get on the doorknob could be as much as 10,000V!  Sensitive electronics can be damaged by as little as about 25V.

You can, but it's not recommended. Maybe 1 in 100,000 people actually damage something because they were building on a carpet, don't be that 1 person.

You can build on carpet, just be really careful and make sure to ground yourself to something metal such as your case every now and then.

Glass and wood aren't a problem at all.
