I couldn't. It's a high-end monitor and high-end with trash quality control and such quick failures need to be remedied immediately. You didn't pay for having a monitor that has a great picture quality with shitty, broken buttons and a defective port. Absolutely unacceptable, especially at that price.

I couldn't and wouldn't deal with it and would contact the seller immediately.

Yeah i realise im probably too lenient or rather accepting these flaws and issues probably isnt a good idea.. Im just tired of complaining as a norwegian, always some small issues with things or electronics, guess we have gotten a bit too lenient.. Or atleast thats how its looking right now 🙂

Will get it RMA/returned and probably NOT get a samsung..

So, any ideas for a new 27 inch monitor thats g-sync compatible?

Currently got no ideas, but with how expensive norway is, im sure im boned either way 😄

Budget something 700$? or 750$ ish?

I still have my acer monitor, but man will i miss playing the rust game and watching anime on my secondary screen haha.

I think i realise that im just stupid to be honest.. Ever since i set my ram speed to 3200 mhz, the monitor started to flicker..

The button failing and the weird white-flicker from some games does annoy me a bit.. But now that i see that the black flicker / black upper screen got blacked out because i made a bad overclock from ram.. I did not even think my ram could do this to my monitor but after setting it back to the stock 3000 mhz xmp profile.. No black issues or black screen issues anymore 😐

Man i feel stupid.

I should probably still return it since the button has been dying for a while now.. or the connection is really bad 😞

Hopefully its a quickfix or just a replacement.. But man i feel stupid, i did not think a small oc of the ram could be the main cause 🙃

Now to wait for the store to send me a reply on the email, but its 2 am in the morning in norway now so im not gonna expect much..

Im just glad it was only a bad ram oc and i didnt kill the monitor itself.. Oh man i felt bad playing games in 1080p haha 😄

Edited by MultiGamerClub
edit: Now 11 hours later and the black screen is bugging out even more now and its getting worse, fuck 😞

Sadly mine was the XFX model known now for having a pretty bad cooler but I didn't do the research I needed to before building my first PC. So... sadly it died after a year because it kept the fans at like 1400 rpm under full load 89c. And the memory cooling was totally inadequate as well. Tried repasting and repadding but still ran quite hot.

ah, I've got a XFX GTS black, I ran the card with an aggressive fan curve trying to keep the card under 75 or so and I ran it 10-15% under power limit

Don't all the XFX 570s use the same cooler? Mine has been excellent. Coming up on four years of use with the original thermal paste.

Not sure. It had 2 aluminum heatpipes and a quite thin finstack IIRC.

I was afraid the rma process would go worse but seeing as the staff was helpful.. Thats a good surprise.

Now to wait a week and see if they repair the button and flickering or they actually replace the monitor with a new one..

One monitor down but.. Maybe Gaming in 1080p with more fps on a 3080 ti won't be so bad 🤔

Polaris voltage was simply too high, they just brute forced a ridiculously high voltage for cards that were mostly running below 1500MHz, that and the fact that most manufacturers limited them to <180W sometimes <150 because otherwise the cards would simply fry with those voltages plus terrible cooling solutions (if you think XFX is bad you should see MSI) ended up making them perform worse than the previous 390X models, both thermal and power throttling were constant and for someone who didn't monitored those values it'd look like the card was absolute shit compared to a 1050Ti.

I'm using a bunch of 590s to mine and the core stock voltages were stupid, 1.15 and I was able to run them at 0.95 at their stock clocks, passed all benchmarks and stress tests with 0 errors. Settled at 0.88 because I don't need a high core clock to mine, memory is where it's at.

Wait so i should probably lower our 580s voltage right?
