maybe nvidia broadcast can be buggy at times and require restarting of the app, but that may be me running mining software while it's running so... not gonna entirely blame them

I've been trying to make older games like Deus Ex, Fallout 2, Half-Life OpFor and F.E.A.R. look better without using mods, except for HL the other three cap the resolution at 1280*1024 pixels, my monitor is capable of 1920*1440@85Hz or 2048*1536@60Hz. Sharpening without the upscaling worked wonders but it still looks a bit blurry.

 

One weird thing I was able to do was force enable FreeSync even though my monitor isn't -obviously- capable of it, and now games run better than before, animations and overall movement are faster but still smooth.

so... you used normal upscaling but not DLSS?

Nearing 2 month old windows 10 pro format.. Still acting up

 

Reinstalled it 3 weeks ago for a second time and it only made it worse, removes where the recordings is located and removes settings or filters ive previously applied..

Really annoying x), kinda almost miss windows 7.

Still keep my old uncle's card around.. Think it was an RX 480.

 

No idea if it still runs, but its a last backup..

 

Currently seeing the top screen on my monitor starting to black out randomly after i updated it to the latest geforce drivers.. Fuck

Looks like my 1 year old samsung G7 is faulty.. oof.

 

Should have known it when it was on sale for 500€

I just shipped my G7 out for RMA repair on Friday.. had it for less than 2 weeks. One of the 2 display ports stopped working after trying multiple cables and computers. Good thing is that Samsung paid for 2 day air shipping which is a refreshing change. Most RMAs you pay for shipping to them.

I mean, I had no other issues beyond this one, so it could be something out of Samsungs control since its likely a 3rd party controller for them and not made by Samsung directly. I didn't have screen flickering, or the Scanline problems that are the most common. Not sure the rate of DP ports failing though, but doubt its a common one.

There are some issues on this monitor i could accept.. Like the button dying half the time i use it.. Or one of the ports deciding to say "nope" and dying.. Not improving the image of samsung monitors right now. My secondary acer predator screen that is 1920x1080p.. No issues in now 2-3 years of owning it.. >_>

 

I feel bad, because my sister and brother got the same monitors at 500€ but i havent heard any issues so far yet

This really sucks, im loving the 240hz monitor..

 

The bad thing about the shop i buyed it in.. well their customer support is absolute trash last time i tried it, but if i have to force them i fucking will.

one port and button not working all times, i could deal with it..

 

But when the upper half part of the monitor is now flashing in black for 20 nano seconds and its occuring at random.. something that is clearly visible, not acceptable

 

Just hoping they accept the RMA or replace the entire monitor, as the button issue is only getting worse atm.

Its 5 years of warranty on these products in norway.. Either its an old CPU or a monitor, so i think i should be good on the warranty

 

Hopefully this all gets solved.. Kinda sucks when i ordered a new case and parts.. The days i order stuff, something else breaks or flickers xD

In my previous experiences, stores have covered the shipping costs.. Or atleast most of them outside one case.

Now to wait to see what wonders awaits when the store sees yet another monitor from samsung dying.

 

Not sure i should be glad im not the only one suffering from these issues or maybe the process wont be so difficult.
