The R9 290 is still a good card !

 

Got a 290x for my brother, underclocked it, undervolted it, it's still performing very well and is much cooler than it was when I got it!

And only paid $67 CAD about a year ago ! It's hard to beat in terms of budget performance IMO (seriously, it's between an RX570 and 580, and it was only $50 USD !!!  )
