I know this is not really computer related but its retro tech none the less.

im a bit into collecting and restoring old vacuum tube radio's, and i love the inside of those radios.

Those old radios look sweet. Never got to mess around with a tube radio before.

I have some old stuff but nothing really that interesting.

Lol those side carts on the PCjr.

what all do you have hooked up to it? at most I think I've seen a ram module hooked up to a pcjr on the internet, although I didn't look very hard for PCjr stuff.

It currently has a ram cart and a printing cart. It also has the expansion for adding a second drive. It came with the expansions when I bought the little guy around 2 years ago.

geez, they should have made the drive expansion smaller...

also is that an altair 8800? what can you even do with those?

Typical, I'm still trying to find my 5.25" FDD so I can re build the first computer I used with the Windows 3.1 floppies (the case got thrown out though so its just not the same, but at least I have the reset switch, the power switch with the beige cap, and all of the LED indicators-which I can switch out for any colour I want). At least I can get it to post I suppose.

It is a much smaller version of the altair with modern hardware. It works very similar though and also runs at the 8mhz(emulated albeit from 16mhz). You can hook that little guy up to a screen with a keyboard and some programming that way or just use the switches and led's in the front. This little guy came in a kit and one just solders and puts it together.

Nice, I was wondering why it was small. When I first looked up what an altair was, my mind was blown that you have to boot it manually by pretty much programming it with switches and LEDs.

Thanks. I want an EVGA Hadron but I'm waiting for the next revision. Too many problems with the current model. If it doesn't get a revision I guess I'll have to buy through liquidation and make do.

Just because you're 12, doesn't mean you can't have old computer parts. I have some Core 2 Duo, and a Nvidia 8800 GTS or something like that.

ive got a pentium form like 5 yearws ago with ddr2 ram, hav a gig of it, and the hdds use that ribbon cable instead of sata
