Cure seems to keep dropping off user count, despite random spikes of heavy production.  Assuming we fall off a bit more to closer to even with them over the northern hemisphere summer, I could see the next winter folding month as the challenge to pass them if they keep reasonable production…or one of the week sprint events prior to that if they don't.

Currently I'm attending Microsoft Build. A 48hr digital congress, for developers (of course being held by Microsoft, their technologies like Teams, Azure, GitHub, etc. come up a lot).

Satya Nadella just finished a presentation of his, in a part of which is talked with Dr. Gregory Bowman of the Folding At Home organization about the F@H project and how Microsoft Azure's technology helps it.

He also was able to give a shoutout to all viewers to join the project.

 

Will check in a moment if I can find a VOD of this part. There wasn't a lot of information, but it was still pretty cool to hear talk about F@H (which does not happen often with such large crowds).

Note: i have gas heat...and that increase is a quite a bit over last year as last year i ran the ac alot to keep my office cool lol but now using window fans...

To the folding gurus, a question.

 

I have never actually seen the red FAILED sign before (well except that one time I tried to fold with a max OC GPU).  

 

Earlier my ASUS strix at bone stock settings failed a WU like 4 times in a row.  It looked like it was all from the same server / project from what I recall.   I have been running beta WU's most of the time, and aside from the time I OC'd too far, I have never actually seen it fail.  Is this common?  Is it related to letting it run beta WUs?  Anything I can do to fix?

 

System is stellar otherwise, perfect temps, clocks, performance etc.

additionally, I stopped BOINC now (it has now finished up its remaining WU's) and put the cPU back on FAH, and also reset the system, reset FAH etc.  It seems like its running but I am just waiting for it to fail again

Looks like you're running a 1.8-2kw load there as a hourly average (especially back in Jul-Aug). Dat's gotta hoit the 'ole wallet.

WOuld it happen to be project 1340X?
I'm not a Guru, but I have seen on the official forum that there was one WU that caused multiple crashes (I got two of theses in one night, my production was 0 from 3 AM to 9AM).

I'd advise removing Beta or Advanced flag if you have one. Other than that, keep up with news on forum, there are some experimental WUs as @Cabanaj noted.

On another note 200!!!!  next 100 in 2-3 months or less watch out @LFreeman We are on the same page now!!! 

and saturday iZac & Flexo are going under the Knife to get a processor change to AMD R5-2600 and my Server will get the R5-1400 as it doesnt need the horse power...
