Quotes cannot be removed.

Go to solution Solved by colonel_mortis,

This is a combination of an android limitation and a browser limitation, and not something we can fix unfortunately.

Browser, version and OS:

Brave on andriod.

Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened?

Quoting someone then delete it with delete on keyboard

What happened?

Quotes is impossible to delete by keyboard and if i clicked correctly and delete it ill get variable at bottom of reply.

What did you expect to happen?

Delete quote by selecting and pressing delete on keyboard then quote dissapears.

Screenshots of the issue, if applicable:

See second post as example

Any other relevant details:

I'd don't want retype whole thing again, so sometimes i just gave up the post and move on.

I'm jank tinkerer if it works then it works.

Regardless of compatibility 🐧🖖

have you tried placing cursor right before the quote box and then hitting backspace couple of times?

I'll get this.

Even after that this still does it.

It's not end of the world but it does discourage me though.

I guess one workaround around the bug would be copying the text without the quotes, deleting everything and pasting in the saved text

True my stupid habit if i want to reply I've automatically click on that reply icon and happily reply til proofreading and correcting it.

I'm slowly hating trashbin icon however it does clear whole reply box so sometimes it helps but with a cost.

I'm jank tinkerer if it works then it works.

That happens with me, I just end up hitting the trash button on the entire post.

I also have this issue with Mull Browser along with not being able to remove user tags. Mostly refrained from posting about it because of what Mull Browser is.
