Leaked within the Futuremark’s 3DMark database, the Ryzen 7 2700X shows up as a 8 core and 16 thread chip. The processor comes with 16 MB of L3 cache and 4 MB of L2 cache which rounds upto 20 MB in total. The TDP of the chip is maintained at 95W since this is a ‘X’ part featuring higher XFR ranges.

So it looks like 3D mark scores have been leaked for the Ryzen 7 2700x

I'm excited for this new cpu because price drops but I don't think I'll buy it over the OG R7

4.2GHz turbo clock? Ryzen 1700x has 3.8GHz turbo and reaches 4.1 mostly, so if the same applies to 2700x then the limit will be 4.5GHz. Just a guess, but even 4.2 is impressive.

tbh if they were better cores I would be happy, but I have my doubts till the next gen

but happy they are gonna continue support from this platform.

If we assume a similar numbering system to clock as with 1st gen, would the 2800X be 4.4 GHz turbo? That would put 4.5 into the realms of overclockers, on a good sample. Will see what pricing is like, but I'll probably have to get one to play with if this is even half right.

If you look at it with the idea of a 2800x, that one should be 3.9/4.3(4.4). and also keep in mind turbo boost is all core on zen+ so hitting 4.3 on a OC should be a given.

I wonder what pricing will be particularly compared to coffee lake because if its priced to similarly people would probably go inlet because of the better gaming performance on Intel's architectures.

I expect the 6c parts, which aren't probably out until June, to be 250 USD range, below Coffee Lake parts by a bit. I'm expecting the 2700X & 2800X to probably be ~350USD and ~400 USD. There's been a rumor that there are no parts without the X moniker. So no direct replacements to the R5-1600 and R7-1700.

Related to that, it seems like, at stock, this is going to be a decently enough uplift over Ryzen 1000 parts. Stock is where most people will use the computers, so those numbers do matter. If we're seeing 8-10% Clocks and whatever Cache changes for 1-5% IPC lift (by task), that's actually a pretty solid Generation to Generation uplift.  Though, in our space, all we care about is the Max OC level. Somewhere around 4.3 to 4.4 Ghz should completely saturate Nvidia's driver for what it can get out of the Zen architecture.

We should update the community standards for news as “reputable sources, which does not include WCCFtech”

I'm excited because when the next Ryzen drops there is a very good chance so will cheap CL motherboards.  Which means not only will we have 2000 series options from AMD but 8000 series options from Intel $100 cheaper.   Seeing as I don't need a GPU this means late march might be my upgrade time.

The clock bump how much it is in the end is good for the refined series. It was mentioned they also reduced CCX infinity fabric latencies a bit. So it will be interesting to compare both gens at same clocks.

They also said they will have better memory compatibility and should allow for faster memory which should also help the infinity fabric. I am looking forward to when reviews are out so I can see if it's worth upgrading my cpu.

Yeah that too, probably like current new APUs as far as memory support. 3200MHz still is really a sweet spot for Ryzen.
