The word going around on other forums (actually from B Neg on OCN) is a new block will show up.  Not official, but B usually don't do rumors.

So what i'm getting at is the departing two from EK wants to keep to the old ways while the owner wants to move on and expand into the mainstream also.

New ASRock x299 block is on their site, it supports 5 boards.

X299 is Intel boards.  TR is Threadripper, whole different chip.  The current EK blocks for TR are just their EVO cooling engine slapped on a large cold plate.  Only companies so far doing from the ground up water blocks for TR are XSPC and Heatkiller.  Reason that one user in the screen shot was joking around with B Neg.

 

Plus, the current EK water block for TR is crap compare to the other two companies TR water blocks.

Oh I didnt realize he was specifically refering to TR. Yeah EK never added more fins to the block design, just expanded the coldplate. I am hoping the ZE monoblock has more fins!

Also Phanteks is doing a TR4/SP3 waterblock that covers the entire IHS with the Glacier C399a.

Only thing I wished EK did was add WB_SENSOR functionality into the monoblock, and made the RGB lighting 12V, not 5V. There's definitely enough space in the monoblock to add it.

Not bad looking block.

 

Seems I may hold off until all the companies get custom blocks for TR out so I have options to pick from.  Hopefully the air cooler can handle this 1900X doing BOINC at full load.  May underclock and undervolt until I get a water block on it.
