are you sure this will be a better headphones than the Sennheiser hd 560s? or should i consider the audio-technica ath-m50x?

Definitely not the M50X's they are horrible but the HD 560S are good tho. More bass and treble - Tygr 300R. Neutral sound - HD 560S

dt990 pro or DROP X SENNHEISER HD 6XX

Both require an amp with decent power to get the most out of them. I'd say 990 Pro if you want a more open sound with more sibilance and 6XX for a vocal or mid-forward tone with a bit less bass and much less treble. Both are well constructed.

PM or DM me if you have any questions about audio.

DT 990 emphatizes more bass and treble while sennheiser is more balanced.

Bass is good for footsteps in video games

Treble is good for music

Pickl whatever is cheper in my opinion

its amp = amplifier. They are so high OHM that the intergrated sound card cant get the most out of them.

Well the Dt 990 pro has 80ohm version that might work fine without an amp.

Not too much midbass. It can drown out detailed cues and directionality.

The sensitivity is also super low, affecting the volume even more than just the ohms. But yeah that's about right too. But even the 80 ohms don't sound good without a proper soundcard or a DAC/amp.

Using ggoogle the Schiit Magni 3+ seems rather ggood for the money.

Since I do not know much about audio, asking me is not a wisest thing.

mayby @Tigerleonknows good amp.

Also knowing your busdget for the AMP would help

I think you know your answer.

You should only get the DT990 if you want to take a risk trying out a completely new sound.

Schiit Magni $60 is a phenomenal deal. I'm questioning why this model has been on sale for so many months though - feels like a mattress store that's always "going out of business" lol

https://www.schiit.com/products/magni-plus

There is also the JDS Labs Atom Amp 2 $129 if you want to skip straight to the endgame and never read about headphone amplifiers for the rest of your life

https://jdslabs.com/product/atom-amp-2/

https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/jds-atom-amp-2-headphone-amplifier-review.49795/

You likely don't need a DAC since most modern motherboards have solved "DAC" for a very long time. But if you have very noisy audio, then you should also get the $9 Apple USB-C dongle since it's an amazing DAC that outperforms devices 10x-20x its price. And obviously pick up a USB-C to USB-A adapter dongle too if your motherboard does not have an open USB-C slot.

I have the FIFINE AM8T (T for boom arm bundle).

It's great. My friends all commented how much better and podcasty my voice sounded.

https://www.amazon.com/FIFINE-Microphone-Podcasting-Voice-Over-AmpliGame-AM8T/dp/B0C74GYW3J/

It has a dual input option for USB-C and XLR. I use it with its included USB-C to A cable and it works perfectly. And of course down the line you can get an XLR interface for your computer and switch over to that.

Yep an XLR interface would work great too. Get one with a decent headphone output, something like the Focusrite

????? @Tigerleon and i need headphones recommendation too

I would save money on the XLR interface and get a cheaper USB mic and the Tygr 300 R from Beyerdynamic. I use those daily. They are less sibilant than the 990 pros and are more easily driven on onboard audio etc but that's just my recommendation.

You're a beginner content creator. 99.9% of your small audience is not going to notice the difference between a $359 microphone and $99 microphone.

The FIFINE AM8 is cheaper than the prehistoric Blue Yeti, and the Blue Yeti is ONLY USB, so you're going to be spending even more money once you get an XLR interface.

Why do you keep dripfeeding us information? Tell us everything instead of a tiny bit of new information with every reply.

Making videos for a tech shop is a completely different environment from sitting in front of a desk with a stable microphone arm. It sounds like you would want a Lapel microphone in this situation.

If you're doing voiceover work, then the headphones are the least important part of this equation.

Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 $180-$200

Shure SM58 $90-$100

Shure MV7X $180

Shure SM7B $360

Shure SRH840A SRH840A $150

Sony MDR7506 $100

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250ohm $170

- 250ohm model is more neutral than the 80ohm model

6xx easily, leagues better than the 990. If you really feel like you need an amp the Apple USB-C dongle (if you're in USA) or Abigail CX1993 (if you're not in USA) are more than enough for 6xx or 990
