What is the most comfortable pair of headphone you've had?

mrchow19910319

Just curious... Does not matter how much it cost. If you can wear it for hours and your head/ear won't hurt, put it below...

So in the future I can have a reference.

I am also wearing glasses... so...is there any pair of headphone I should avoid? because it is too tight ?

And also what is the least comfy pair of headphone you've tried?

Share with us here.

Thanks!

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.

I like my ATH-M50Xs very much. Not uncomfortable at all. Very adjustable too.

The padding actually does something and the "leather" is nice.

ATH-M40X are my latest headphones and they're damn comfortable except when they don't fly off when playing horror games.

For me, I still enjoy putting on the Senn HD800 and Grado GS1000i, very light and comfortable but due to their light clamping force (the HD800 especially), I can't move my head too hard or too fast.

KSC75. They look so stupid but they fit so well. Probably HD650 second. Most mid-fi stuff without pleather pads is also quite comfortable (DTXX0, K7XX, HD558, X2, etc.) and is really more up to preference than any being more comfortable than the others.

QC35 is extremely comfortable for a while but heats up quickly.

Better than what I find most comfortable. The most comfortable I have tried are the Sony MDR-Z1R.

ATH R70x is the best I've tried. I use them every day for ~5-8 hours a day for work here at Antlion HQ.

Check their weight: 210 g (7.4 oz),

Compared to the M50x: 285 g (10 oz)

Comapred to the AKG702: 235 g

A few grams goes a long way over hours. Plus their headband design really is great for keeping pressure constant and their clamping force and ear circumference is fantastic. Only downside is the 350 dollar price tag! :D

Sony mdr-ma900. Extremely light and open, I thought the minimal padding wouldn't be enough, but its perfect for me. Only drawback is they seem fragile and are only for a home setup. I can wear them for 10hours and forget I have them on. Also they are discontinued, so maybe I should pick up another pair...

Specs: Amd 1700x | NH-u12s | Asus crosshair hero vi | 2x8g Gskill flare x | Zotac 1080 | Samsung 960 EVO | Seasonic ssr-750GD | Thermaltake core x5 |
