Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.

I hide all icons on my desktop, most of them are hideous anyway. I have my taskbar on my top minitor on the right side. (Cannot provide a screenshot since I'm at work. But you can somewhat see it in one of the pictures in my signature)

I normally have no icons on my desktop, along the taskbar I have adobe suite, steam etc pinned

 

However - i have started to use fences - I can double click the desktop to hide all icons, so it looks clean, and I can organise things better

 

So I might start using it more, but currently its kinda empty

Mine is SO clean because I use keyboard shortcuts for almost everything (there are so many built into Windows - specifically 7, 8.1 and now 10). Windows+S (search) is by far the most useful keyboard shortcut

I've just cleaned up my PC and I'm loving the way it looks. How clean/or not is your desktop? Leave a screenshot behind. 

 

You have too many Icons on display, even your system tray is brimmed. 2/10, would not bang.

Yeah although I rarely use keyboard shortcuts, honestly I just have Chrome, Adobe Suite, Steam on the taskbar - its very very very rare I open up any other programs anyway :D
