Plastic is used to make tech. Tech (some pretty awesome tech, BTW) is used to make Legos. You may need advanced tech in your brain to build this set without taking 2 weeks. So it is tech news.

That's $799.00 US. Also, given how Lego usually prices their sets for how many pieces they have, this set is a little expensive.

But you could probably build a tiny PC inside it... and then play Star Wars Battlefront or Battlefront 2 in the Millennium Falcon.

Holy crap that costs a lot! I remember the Collector's edition Death Star II was $800 at some point, right? It's amazing how much you can charge for plastic

I mean, the thing is almost 3 feet long and 2 feet wide. There's essentially a circle with a 1ft radius, so you have a little more than 3 sq ft

The question is then, is it thick enough?

Hey man, LEGO pieces are pretty expensive as far as injection molding parts go. I could see this set being quite expensive for LEGO, since they had to design new molds for some of the pieces. LEGO molds are pretty pricey.
