Well Pence had an email leak as well. How hypocritical. To be fair though it wasn't illegal for Pence to use a private email as a government official in the state of Indiana. That being said I don't know if sharing classified information through said account is legal. Oh well, if it's only 30 pages of emails then Pence shouldn't face any repercussions at all because several thousand pages of emails wan't enough to book Hillary.

Coal mining has a large and detrimental impact on the environment; not taking any precautions and having no environmental or safety rules makes it worse.

I think most of us can see the difference here but that's not what this is about. It's not about how sensitive the information in the emails was or how much information was shared.

 

Legal or not, Mike Pence effectively used a Private email just like Clinton did. That's why it's ironic that he condemns Clinton while he effectively did the same thing.

 

Both of these cases are stupid actions and politicians should know that sensitive information should not be send via private/unsafe email accounts. If you have a high level function in a company you wouldn't even think about doing something like this!

 

  • The government cannot guarantee that a private email account is safe.
  • If the government email service sucks, complain the hell out of it but don't put sensitive info into unsupported systems. You risk your career (and national security) by doing such stupid things.

That's true but honestly: a lot of these companies would jump at the chance to ignore all these environmental rules because they impede their work and/or profits. Profit > planet. Many of these industries should be banned but the economy and jobs lost short term outweighs the long term in the eyes of greedy businesses and politicians.

Yeah, it is funny that you only mentioned one extreme and nothing about greenhouse gas emissions or black lung/individual health.

 

Besides being an extremely cheap, reliable, and abundant source of energy with tons of sites that already exist and are completely usable with a much cleaner process than was used in the past that also offers employment opportunities to hundreds of thousands of people(especially in towns that turned to extreme poverty when their mines were closed) I wouldn't know what to say.

Legal or not, Mike Pence effectively used a Private email just like Clinton did. That's why it's ironic that he condemns Clinton while he effectively did the same thing.

 

Both of these cases are stupid actions and politicians should know that sensitive information should not be send via private/unsafe email accounts. If you have a high level function in a company you wouldn't even think about doing something like this!

 

  • The government cannot guarantee that a private email account is safe.
  • If the government email service sucks, complain the hell out of it but don't put sensitive info into unsupported systems. You risk your career (and national security) by doing such stupid things.

You are missing the point.  Pence used a private email service.  Clinton built a private email server.  One, while foolish, still maintains a record of all correspondence and leaves the government official accountable.  The latter was done specifically to dispose of evidence should it ever come to light.   Those problems are an order of magnitude apart.  That's not "just like Clinton did," as you claim.   Further,  scrubbing the server clean is exactly what Clinton did, while Pence's are available by archive to any alphabet agency that wants to access them.
